A small section of the Roman Collesseum. Construction stopped due to an empty treasury.
About this creation
An incomplete study of the Roman Colosseum. The original structure called the Amphitheatrum Flavium was built from 72 to 80 AD in Rome on the site of Nero's palace lake. The complete Lego structure would have had 80 sets of arches instead of the three shown here and would form an oval. After spending too much money on my Fisher Building, I could not afford another large structure. Someone else such as Casper van Nimwegen will have to take up the task of building the definitive Lego version.
I was going to add in the starways to show how the thousands of bloodthirsty spectators efficiently entered and left the amphitheater. I ran out of arches. The Romans supported everything on arches. Arches upon arches. Once they got an idea in their heads there was no changing it!
dude..this would be so friggen hott if you could complete it. but its still awesomely awesome. and just wondering, could you email me the link to where i can order legos??
