Riverboat Columbia
Spaceship/casino modelled after a sidewheel paddleboat.
About this creation
Welcome to the classiest venue of entertainment on the starlines! At least, the proprietor thinks so...

This started as something of a joke creation that got entirely out of hand. It's not entirely polished, but it has some neat features, and will hopefully prove a fun read. Enjoy.

Ah, chivalry isn't dead. It just went into orbit.

Don't even try to tell me Blacktron wouldn't use chrome.

A person might argue that using doors like this for an airlock is forcing it with oddball parts. That person would be right. The lackey also wonders why the limo lacks power doors.

See the droid? He's carrying away the spacesuits. Everybody understand what's going on?

The bare walls pain me greatly. Ignore them.

The standard galactic deck consists of 30 aces, 20 kings, and a pair of 2's.

Robo-dealer, the latest technology for separating the foolish from their money.

I had moral qualms about showing a Blacktron agent's face. Seriously.

No, you can't stand over there. That's the cameo side of the table.

Hmmm, gambling's addictive, gaming's addictive... A match made in heaven!

Warning: some elements of the American West may not be translated authentically.

   Lucky stiff.

   Three-arm bandit.

   Meanwhile, downstairs.

   Bloody amateur.

The galactic deck is the image of variety next to the choices of victuals.

Drinks, on the other hand, are available for any taste.

Ol' turkey arms has a soft spot for the T-Rex. Happily, the T-Rex usually wins.

Some pretty nerdy betting goes on downstairs. I wasn't aware one could bet against laws of physics.

   The dat's natural outcome.

I have no idea how the paddlewheel on one side ended up a half stud off from the other.

Wait, did I say the doors up top were forced?

Crooked ballustrades, recognizable in ghost towns throughout the West. Dang, I should have fixed that before photographing.

This whole project arose from the the nice cylinders formed by the hailfire droid wheels, and tumbled out of control from there.

Extras waited in line two days to be placed on the set.

Down below, nobody sleeps. On the bridge, everyone gets their turn to nap.

   My favorite visitors.

   A tip-top crew, here.

So much for the order I thought these pictures were in.

The best construction in this project is righ here.

More forced parts usage, but I think these lifeboats at least turned out pretty cute.

   One more time, with feeling.

Our brick built friends say goodby, Wait - is the guy in fron waving us away or flipping us the bird? Adios.

That's awfully entertaining, Kenn, cool dioramas are a rare treat. So many great details, but one of my favorites is the Blacktron limo with the chromed-out "dubs".

That's an excellent use of the droid wheels. I t reminds me of Floston Paradise. There are too many details to begin to comment. Great pics, great captions, welcome to MOC pages.
