Re: the intercepted spycraft
Early on March 5, imperial planetary defenses shot down a small UFO flying over the port city of Baetica. Upon close examination of the craft, which was relatively unharmed by the crash, technicians and engineers agree that it was used for spying. It must have slipped through our defenses by hiding in a cargo vessel. Images in the drives of the craft reveal very high resolution images that compromise our positions in the Baetic province. We must be careful about divulging this information to the public (if we do). I suggest we boost all defenses, stop trade with any non-imperial merchants and get the Imperial Armada off the ground. This craft bore calligraphic inscriptions that we have seen before in the eastern reaches. If this craft belongs to them, we must be very careful. Ask the Emperor to send another legion. I hear his factories are working on producing several new craft for Leg XVI. The Auxiliary legions on this planet could use the heavy weaponry he is developing in the case of a full scale assault, which may occur through the already heavily defended Baetic Strait. In the meantime, I will send my own spies across that strait to see exactly what is happening over there.
