TECHNICAL SPECS: The Fox is Xarkon's newest walker in their army, and, with the official retirement of the W-1, is now the smallest as well. Developed only recently for recon and scouting purposes, the Fox is fast, agile, hard to spot and hard to detect, and can fly almost as good as it can run. But the best thing about the Fox is the "Fox Ear", the black radar dish mounted on one side of its head. This allows it to detect things from miles and miles away that no other walker could pick up, and makes it superb for getting in, gathering information, and getting back out quickly. The Fox Ears were later used for different purposes (for watching over a battlefield and giving commands) on the Manegarm, Mars's personal walker.
Bionicle legs allow for unprecedented posability! Look at this nice shot of the Fox cautiously peering about. You can see how thin his head is here. I had to make it as small and light as possible so that he could still stand on one leg!
You gotta love the standing on one leg thing. I guess this is as good a place as any to list the guns: The Fox is armed with two anti-personnell machine guns on the tip of its nose, a laser cannon on each "wing," and a missile rack on one "ear."
Just remember, if you join the Armed Forces of Xarkon, you may be used as a test dummy or target practice if you disobey orders. This Hornet pilot was found smuggling drugs from Mordark. Now he will be squished like a caterpillar. You know, so that his head pops off like a cannonball and all his guts spray out? Nevermind.
Sometimes walker pilots in Xarkon refuse to pilot the Fox, because, they say, it is too "cute." This cuteness is here being displayed by a brave walker pilot who was crazy enough to position his walker this way for the camera. Who knows what the other men will call him when he gets back to base!
Don't forget to go review and rate my Manegarm if you haven't already done so! It's over there in that menu, you know. The one you were going to ignore because it's so big...
In reply to some of the comments: the reason the feet look the way they do is that the design had to be lightweight and wide for the standing on one leg thing, and they also had to allow the ball and socket joint to bend both forwards and backward... that doesn't leave me much room to build a big foot, you know? Oh, and the black "ear" is supposed to be the special "Fox ear" satellite dish I keep talking about, just like the two ears on Manegarm here. Just so you know.
Well, the pose ability is good, and I like the ears. I must say that, even though it allows for some awesome pose ability, I HATE the bionicle legs. Also, it looks very flat and wide, which I do not like. But, whatever floats your boat, man.
Hey SaberScorp! This RULEZZZZZZZZZZZ!, like most of your creations. Would you mind if I tried my hand at making a creation based on Nova Refuge? Don't worry, if I post it on the Internet, I'd be sure to give you your rightful credit.
hm. i actually think the bionicle legs go better with it. for one, they look slender, like a light walkers legs should be. and the posability is a great thing too, thats pretty much the only reason i got bionicle haha
I think he looks unfinished. The feet could use some more detailing, the curved slope sticking up at the back that doesn't have missiles is bothering me - it looks like it needs something. Balance > all. Good job on integrating Bionicle into a system moc.
Very neat, I think the Bionicle legs fit in very well, and having the mismatched "ears" is a unique touch. The feet are excellent, as well. I think my only complaint is that the body and guns appear a little simple compared to the legs and ears, but that's not much of a problem.
