We are the keeper of the East Wind. Now, Thousand Eye's first airspeeder ever - the Zephyr - returns in a smoothed-out, scaled-down version that is sure to burst the competitors' collective bubble.
In this reincarnation of the Zephyr, we went for a 50's kind of feel.
Even so, it's still nice and streamlined.
And now we see the return of the ultimate racing/sport cockpit.
This is the interior. The steering is very much like a Mario Kart Wii controller, and it "attaches" to a velcro strip on the cockpit when not in use.
This is the engine compartment. There are some greebles...sort of...
And now we get to the really cool part: How the cockpit opens.
Basically, the roof scoops lift up to allow the canopy (which doesn't side-open) to flip up.
Coooooool.
This is the right-side SCRAM (Supersonic Combustion RAM)engine intake.
This is the left-side SCRAM engine exhaust port. Unlike the Zephyr 1, which was completely repulsor-powered, the Zephyr 2 runs on a repulsor-lift and 2 SCRAM engines.
