A few things. 1. Your skull picture is ugly, and not like you. 2. Nice rod 3. I couldn't post for some reason on "contest ideas" in BRICKSonWHEELS so I'll put it here. So a challenge just means "this is an idea of something to make" no placing means no judging, means no competition means little total quality. You aren't going for anything...no goal...I could do that on my bedroom floor. Oh well...this is still the best group, even though I was looking forward to contests with regulations, you know, direct competition. A challenge isn't challenging if competition is nonexistant, in my opinion. But I don't run this club, so just think about having sanctioned tournaments in addition to overall 'building themes' or challenges. Okay? 4. Thanks an awful lot for the tips about my engine, do you mind if I use some of your rods for inspiration? I'll just use 1x2 bricks with holes in them for the steering rod. But I might email or post asking for help with my rod. I sure want to make it good, and there isn't anyone as good as you for rods. It's almost done, but no engine. lol Thanks, please reply, -matthew- |

Aaaarrgghh!! Why haven't I reviewed this yet?! I could've sworn I reviewed it already. Let's seeeeeeee... Those fenders that turn with the front wheels are especially impressive! They remind me of a Plymouth Prowler. I think the doors look a little too small, but that's just me. That's one awesome ride you've got there! |

Reply (below) Nope, check out the sneak of of MOCpages 2009!- NEW feature: You can set up proper clubs with members and everything (Like Facebook groups maybe?), which will make clubs as creations like ours redundant. I'm thinking of transferring the Rod Club to the new format... but we'll have to see if it works! |

Hey apple! nice car. I liked the engine a lot, especially the scoop system on top, with the little window. The body is a bit long in my uneducated opinion, and the rear wheels need to be twice as wide as the front wheels. (at least that's the way they are at hot rod shows.)I like the interior too--minus the clown. ;) Overall, it's a very practical car to have. Nice job! |

ARGH sixth comment, but anyway, who cares. All I care about it this w - wonderful rod of yours!! Words fail me, my friend. Seriously, I don't know what to say. The way you got the mudguards to turn with the wheels is ingenious, and when Ape Fight can't do that, that's saying something. (no offense Ape both you and Apple's rods are equal quality.) Although you could have made it some other color than black..... And you could have changed the rims, too. But nice new design! I could never have untwirled that photo on your flickr photostream - great work, mate, kee i t up!! The engine is quite nice too, but you could have put some flamy or something on the side, no?? And is this Hot or Rat? I think it's probably Street, don't you think? Anyways, the little Tiny Turbo windshield piece in front of the grille is pretty neat, as is the hood ornament. Are you going to be making minifig heads as hood ornaments from now on, or is this a short obession you're going through? They're kind of like Lino's fondness of putting minifigs on his motorcyles.... I think that the window is pretty cool (if not a bit wide) and I laughed at the "heated seats where it's needed" part. I really just luaghed out loud. (not really). But still, mate, nice Street Rod! This thing is going to be the Britney Spears of ~The Rod Club~ soon! (If Ape Foght posts it, of course). Until your next moc and many flickr photos, cu! Keep it up!! ~~Raphael~~ Ps. I think this would be the longest comment I've ever written.... And it probably is. Quite long, isn't it?? OK and this comment probably broke all mocpages comment rules in longess. I just measured it - 5.4 miles. Nice, eh? I appreciate it when I get comments like this - so, so should you. Keep it up, man. 9/10. |

That is really special. The way the front mudguards turn with the wheels is fantastic, it's something I've toyed with and never got right! The fuel tank is another wonderful feature, and it's great to see you've got steering right now too : ) although no moving pistons again?? One thing I have noticed though (your last Rod was the same here) is that the doors are much too small (i.e. the sills are way too big) but I'm nitpicking; this is your best yet and one of the best on MOCpages. Beautiful pick-up! (Rat or Hot? Looks more ratty to me...) I'm rating out of 10 now as there are too many 5s: 9/10! : ) |
