A light, ground-based, mecha designed for urban combat and rapid-response.
About this creation
Here we see the relatively large arms; sized to facilitate hand to hand combat, and to assist in construction while within its intended urban environment.
As visible in this view, each forearm sports a light cannon, suitable for the majority of urban engagements. The forearms also contain all needed ammunition and are heavily armored to allow the Blue Devil to block incoming fire.
The Blue Devil is equipped with a powerful jump-pack, that gives the mecha the ability to move quickly among skyscrapers and other tall buildings. It can even provide short-term flight capability, though this isn't the intended design.
Just a neat pose to show off how poseable the Blue Devil is.

.....WOOF!.....you should make some smaller/ more compact MOCs.....just to keep your audience amazed....though what your doing is better than most so if you don't take my advice...I wouldn't care and you should keep it up anyway....btw can you check out my first couple of mechs...ditto to what is on your homepage ...thanks! |

Shameless self-promotion: http://www.mocpages.com/moc.php/119587 LOL! I couldn't help it after seeing your comment on my Godspeed, saying that it's one of my best. I'd have to disagree and say that the Revelation V.3 "Full Burst Mode" is my best. Plus it has better photography. |

i love the jump pack for 2 reasons, it looks cool and it is just that, a jump pack. most people take a huge mech, give it some tiny thrusters and say it can fly all over the place! |

I finally posted the editations to the Vulcan, but only the main photo shows them. The feet and arms are both fixed. Tell me what you think. I also posted 2 new mechs. |

Are you gonna join mine and Nowhere Man's FORGE group? BTW: I know what you mean about my Vulcan's feet. I'll probably edit it as soon as I get more parts. As for the forearms, they need to be upside-down to have the same pipe things shown in my model kit of the Crest. I think I'll fix them too. I think I'll post it on the same page too. Since you seem to have good advice, I'd like to see what you think when I post the edited pics. If it needs further improvement after, please say what technique I should use. Thanks for the advice and comment! PS: Are you an Armored Core fan? If you have X-Box Live, I might be getting AC 4 soon, and I'd like to play you. If not, no biggy. Brick you! ~Phong Chang |

I can understand busy, I haven't posted anything new for weeks (and most of the stuff I've posted was already built once i made an MOCpages account. But I wasn't proposing an alliance, (at least, not quite) I was thinking of something new (because I get sick and tired of the way alliance dealings clog up the comments section) if you're interested at all, just go look at Phong Chang's Liberty Gundam: Air Class where I put a two comment long, detailed Idea. But trust me, I understand (at least a fraction of) busy, and that's why this isn't an alliance. You'll see if you go check it out, but if you still aren't interested, I understand entirely. Thanks, Nowhereman |

I have a thought. It plays off of Phong Chang's "Izzo alliance" Idea. But before i propose anything I need to know if you'd be interested in anything of that sort. (if you are leave a comment on my page, seeing as i usually only have time to check for new comments on my page) Keep on building (please, your creations are fantastic!) Nowhereman |

Hand-to-hand mecha combat, what an interesting idea. Anyways, this is a great mech. the angles, the color, the poseability, it all adds up. |

So you're an Izzo inspired builder too? You, Nowhere Man, me, and Ryu Kwi should form an Izzo alliance. Again, great job! I do sorta think the torso could use some touch-ups, but it's fine. I'm gonna post an improvement to one of my smaller mechas soon. Check it out if you want. Brick you! ~Phong Chang |

Thanks Nowhereman!
To answer your question: I wasn't directly influenced by Moko (I've seen his stuff of course), but I do know that I pulled the upper-thighs and shoulder-to-torso connections from Izzo to make this. |

He's alive! Hadn't heard anything out of you for a long time, but you you've apparantly been busy. This is (in my opinion) your best mech to date. The colors are nice, the form is excellent, the attention to detail is second to only a few, and the overall effect is excellence. You've got some great stuff, hope to see more soon. Oh, and I have a question. This mech in particular seems to have some strong Moko influences (the pelvic and elbow joints specifically) I was just curious as to whether or not this was the case. Keep up the good work,
Nowhereman |
