Chapter 11 of the Sir Graham Comic: Civilization!
Sir Graham finds a herbalist to cure Jakys but they need to go to the Hydra's lair for the last ingredient to the potion.
About this creation
Sir Graham has finally found Civilization! There is only one problem... Jakys is still hurt. The crew has come upon an old hermit's hut.

Knight 1: "Hey guys, look! It's a house!"
Knight 2: "Yay! We're back!"
Sir Graham: "Not exactly guys, we still need to find help for Jakys. We can't go back until Jakys is healed."
(Old hermit walks up to Sir Graham)

Hermit: "Go away! Away, I say! I don't have any money! I paid my rent last week!"
Sir Graham: "Calm down, Old Man! We aren't here for money.
Hermit: "Oh. Thank the gods! The tax collector came by my house last week and threatened to come back with knights if I wouldn't pay my rent. No one ever needs my herbs any more. They have new fancy medicine now..."
Sir Graham: "Did you say herbs?!?"
Hermit: "Geoffrey's my name, Herbs is my game. Geoffrey the herbalist, at your service."
Sir Graham: "Do you have anything that can treat wounds from an enchanted weapon?"
Geoffrey(Hermit): "What kind of enchantment?"
Sir Graham: "Cursed weapons, from the dark swamps."
Geoffrey: "I have just the thing! Only one problem... I don't have much of it. I have enough to keep your friend alive for about a week. Now, If you were to run a little errand for me, I'm sure I could help your friend..."
Sir Graham: "Well, for starters lets just give him the small dose."

They give Jakys the small dose of medicine.

Jakys: "Hey guys, Whats up?"
Knight 1: "Hey Jakys! How ya feeling?"
Knight 2(Will): "It's nice to see you feeling better."
Jakys: "I think you spoke too soon Will, I still feel funny."
Geoffrey: "That's from the herbs. It should go away soon but I'm afraid that the medicine will only work for about a week. After that you will go back into your deep sleep."
Jakys: "Well, what are we gonna do? How can we get more medicine?"
Geoffrey: "I have all the ingredients for the full cure...except one. I need seaweed from the Hydra's lair."
Sir Graham: "Oh boy, here we go again... trolls, dragons, skeletons, now Hydras!
Geoffrey: "I would do it myself but I'm getting too old for this sort of thing. I'm sure a couple of brave knights like you guys can pull if off though.
Sir Graham: "How can we get to the Hydra's lair?"
Geoffrey: "Well, first you need to go to the small fishing villiage by the coast. It's not very far from here. Then you can rent a boat and sail down the coast about a mile and then you will see a big cave. (I know because I've done this before in my younger days.) Then you just go up and pluck the seaweed. Now thats not too hard is it?"
Sir Graham: "Easy for you to say..."
Geoffrey: "I will require a small price for this medicine though. All I want is for you to stop that bad Tax Collector."
Sir Graham: "I'll see what I can do. Come on men! We've got some seaweed to pick!"
Jakys: "Yeah!"
Sir Graham: "Oh, not you Jakys. You need your rest. You cant be running about with a wound from a cursed blade."
Geoffrey: "Yes, lad. Listen to your Captain. I'll take care of you until they return. Goodbye, brave knights."

A picture of the town.

The Tavern and a shop.

The dock and dock-keeper.

Sir Graham: "Excuse me sir, we need to rent a boat."
Dock-keeper: "Yes sir, we only have this little one left, but it should do. She's a nice little boat."
Sir Graham: "Alright then, we'll take her."
Dock-keeper: "And how will you be paying for this?"
Sir Graham: "Uh... We don't exactly have any cash on us... We can give you credit from the King...
Dock-keeper: "Hmm. I usually don't take credits but you bunch look like you're on an important mission. I'll give ya the boat for 50 credits."
Sir Graham: "Thank you. This means alot. We'd best be shoving off now, will ya give us a hand?"
Dock-keeper: "Sure thing."

A small boat, but a cozy fit.

Thanks for visiting guys! Thanks for all your good ideas! Credit for the herbalist goes to Victor Haubenstricker. Please check out my other comics. Please rate and comment!

I think it would have been a little more interesting if you had made them have to steel the boat, in the middle of the night or something like that

I wonder what the Hydra looks like? Either way the plot is turning out excellently.
