Barbican (mk1a)
My modified gatehouse.
About this creation
This is my castle gatehouse or barbican. I displayed this with my other castle stuff at the Herts and Essex Lego Fest in Oct'04. It was demolished not long after.

It is built to William Howard's castle wall standard for compatability at displays.

It is a three storey building with a sloped roof. It has both large heavy doors and a portcullis for keeping enemies out.

This has been modified from the original; essentialy with the addition of a winch-house on top to raise and lower the portcullis.

Back. The winch handle can be seen just under the roof in the middle, for operating the portcullis.
