This interchangeable speeder bike i built had evolved from an "alternative model" i found - pictured on the back-side of an Exoforce Lego kit (#7708) called Uplink. The alternative model is called a "Link Transport", but after assembling it, i was alittle dissapointed because it was abit fragile and kept falling apart ... so that's when i got inspired to change it up a bit - to try and make it more solid (and playable). As i continued to tinker, it kept getting bigger and BIGGER ... until i finally had a powerful-looking speederbike frame. That's when i thought ... "hmm, with a few various attachments, i could race this bike on any world !" And that's how i came up with the All Terrain Scout Speeder. :)
About this creation
The All Terrain Scout Speeder (AT-SS) is a heavy, and more powerful variant of most speeder bikes that you will typically see in the Galaxy ... and it comes with various attachments, allowing it to transform into a podracer, a snow speeder, a speeder bike, and more !
This variant is useful for traversing extremely steep and muddy terrain, in which traction is vital ... and it's certainly capable of pulling out anything that gets stuck in the mud !
And with a simple attachment on the front ... the AT-SS is ready for scouting missions on extremely cold and icy planets - such as Hoth ... (lol) time for a planet disscusion ... why do they call it Hoth, when it's friggin COLD there ?
Moving along ... here we have the repulsorlift pods on the front - complete with landing skids ... This configuration is designed for large urban patrol missions, or for desolate planets with wide-open spaces ... such as Coruscant, or Tattooine.
From this rear view, you can get a better view of the "kickstand" parking limb - and liscense plate ... i was gonna make a plate that read, "Eat my Turbo Flames" ... but there wasn't enough room.
Coming at ya with a front view, you can see all the air-intakes that feeds this hungry beast ... and to quote these test pilots, "there's more than enough power to satisfy anyone's need for speed !"
Now for those of you that like underwater adventures, check THIS out ! ... the AT-SS also comes equipped with waterjet attachments and control fins ! ... This variant is designed for underwater scouting missions and patrols on watery planets such as Naboo, or even Kamino.
These 3 powerful waterjets propel the AT-SS at unbelievable speeds ! ... and, oh yes ... the turbo-exhaust pipes still shoots flames ... even underwater !
Here's one final view of the underwater version ... note the test pilot with the bulky-bubble helmet (lol) ... and note the variable-pitch water-fins on the front ... and the overall sleek profile - designed to slice through water at neck-breaking speeds.
... A few final footnotes ...
Originally designed for the Empire, production of the AT-SS had just barely begun - when the second Death Star was destroyed ... so only a few had been assembled - due to the sudden halt of funding.
But even at it's late arrival, a few select Stormtroopers (and Scout Troopers) had the opportunity to test-ride this new hybrid speeder bike.
After the death of the Emperor and Darth Vadar, production had temporarily halted ... until funding and management for this top-secret project was taken over and resumed by THE SHADOW FORCE.

Wow, this got MOTD, no offense, but a speeder hovers (no wheels) and the creation isn't overall very good. |

It's nice ,but do more than one clone go on it? because it's huge just for one little mini-fig.
i suppose 2 minifigs could ride on it ... in fact, if you look closely, there's a black astromech droid riding behind the driver. =] |
