Droid Assembly Line
My Lego Army has been traveling the Galaxy again ... secretly collecting remnants of the Clone Wars - in order to add more droids to their forces. They now have 32 additional battle droids and 24 Super battle droids ! The Shadow Force also has 2 new robotic technicians ... highly trained in droid programming, construction, and repairs.
About this creation
The mechanical technicians waist no time starting up the assembly line ... complete with 3 large industrial droids, 2 heavy-lift robotic cranes, and a conveyor belt platform. Each robotic crane also has 2 welding arms. Soon they are busy with building and repairing all the newly acquired battle droids ~ which the Shadow Force had recently collected from various planets.

Each industrial droid is programmed to build and repair both Battle Droids and Super Battle Droids ... and each of them have storage racks, to hang plenty of extra droid parts on. They also have plenty of tool racks (safety rails) within reach of their mechanical arms ... capable of holding many various tools. The safety rails are also there because of all the cutting~grinding blades and drills.

Here's a closer view of the cutting~grinding blades in action ... and a better view of the spare parts hanging from the large industrial droids. When not in use, the cutting~grinding blades swing back toward the rails.

Here is an excellent view of the heavy-lift robotic crane manuvering a Super Battle Droid upper torso into position, and another close-up view of the industrial droids' backside. Both the cranes and all 3 industrial droids can rotate in a full 360 degree circle.

All of the industrial droids have variable bi-focal lenses ... which zoom in and out as they work. The variable bi-focal lenses can also focus independently ... which can allow the industrial droids to work on 2 different tasks at the same time !

Here's one final close-up of my hard-working industrial droids ... focusing with their variable bi-focal lenses. Look at 'em go !

I love it but, is it for all droid types to be built on or does it turn battle droids in to supers?

This is good, but I think the Battle Droids and the Super Battle Droids should be in separate assembly lines. Sorry. 4/5

Great Job on the assembly line..... This has inspired me to make an assembly line other than yours and will try to add the assembly of droidekis, super battle droids, and battledroids... GREAT!!

Cool. I allways wanted to see one of these in Lego. All people make are machines that put helmets on Stormtroopers.

Great detail, but I believe a different machine builds the super battle droids.

Great job with the details! I tried to make something like this once, but it turned out weird looking, so I dismantled it. By the way, DROIDS RULE!

Looks SORT of like in the movie.. It's pretty cool.. But maybe you should make a version 2 and make it a double sided one like an assembly line on the left and right with the assembly droids in the middle of the conveyor belts! Also maybe for version 2 you could create a background for it. And instead of being all gray throw in a little brown here and there, it will make it look more like the one in episode II. One more thing, if you make a version 2 take the picture in a more dim light, it will look more movie authentic. Love it so far, bye. Jason Brehm

cool, I love it! The industrial droids are AWESOME!!! The only negative thing is how it's small and on a small platform, and the photo shows the table and all. But, Good Job! If you could please rate my stuff too, thx!

nicely done, so it's for repairing droids ? I don't think the super battle droids and battle droids should be on a seperate line, it's for repairing, in Starwars machines are smart enough to see what they are repairing, Great job

This is great! However, as Awesome-O-Saurus said, super battle droids and battle droids should be on a separate line. But great job anyways, I love the robotic cranes!

Hi Marin ... i can see your point (good point) ... but in the pics, i was just trying to convey the multi-task capabilities of my droid assembly line. In the pics, they are just finishing up with a line of Super Battle Droids - while at the same time, the have already begun to assemble the normal Battle Droids. :)

I was planning to build something like this, but on a smaller scale. I still might do it. But shouldn't they be contructed on different lines? It's like building two seperate cars on the same assembly line.

Wow! I love battle droids and was thinking of making an assembly line, but apparently you beat me to it, and did a better job than I would of!
