Prologue Part 2: The Trolls of the North
Trolls attacking a watchtower
About this creation
This is my second MOC. It is also a continuation of my story. Hope you like it!

The windswept snows of the North stretched on for miles, nicknamed the Icedeath Plain by some. It stretched into the distance, all the way down south until reaching the Cloud Top Mountains. The snows also stretched North, until reaching NorthCoast. The land dropped off sharply here, and here was where the land was at its most vulnerable. So, to fortify this weak position, the great King Ternion, 14th ruler of the North, and benevolent King of the Kingdom of the Crown positioned 15 watchtowers across the coast. These watchtowers were meant to defend NorthCoast, and the rest of Alimara, from invaders from the North. The Kingdom of the Crown was the kingdom that stretched from NorthCoast to the Cloud Top Mountains and east until reaching the Dark Sea and west until reaching the Shadowed Lands. The 15 watchtowers were meant to symbolize the 14 kings of the Kingdom of the Crown, and the 15th was meant to symbolize the King yet to come. Each of the Watchtowers was named after one of the Kings. Gyrnwyn, Yunhad, Tigurer, Kulinothen, Respition, and so on until it reached Ternion. On top of one of these watchtowers, Yunhad to be exact stood a young man, squinting into the distance. All he could see was the swirling snows, for the chill winds had picked up the snows and carried them out to sea, creating a biting, freezing mist. Each tower had a scrying orb supplied to see oncoming invasion forces, but the cold fog made it impossible to see through them. Suddenly, the young soldier heard a splash. And another. And another. "What are they..." he thought out loud. Then it struck him. Oars! “Invaders! Sound the alarm!” He called fiercely. Then he raised a horn to his lips and blew three, long notes. Immediately men started to flood out of the gates at the base of the tower, and the sound of rowing increased in volume and speed. Then, the first sound of wood on gravel could be heard. The Invaders had arrived! A rope appeared, looping itself around a large rock. Then the first of the invaders appeared. Trolls! Trolls were attacking! One tall knight drew a shining sword, and shouted, “ATTACK!” The Crown army rushed forward, and met the Troll army in open combat. Many soldiers on both sides fell, and eventually the Trolls were pushed back to the cliffs. “We are winning! Keep fighting my men!” shouted the knight. Then, several screams could be heard along the cliff, and a hideous head appeared, followed by a large, bulky body. A Greater troll! It snatched a soldier off the battlefield, and flung him into the ocean. “Fall back!” screamed the knight. The soldiers of the Crown retreated furiously, but still many fell, as they ran, they could see trolls carrying picks and shovels running past them, preparing to build a tunnel underneath the tower! Suddenly, a resounding crash could be heard, and the Crown soldiers turned to see several Greater Trolls standing beside the watchtower, hitting it with their clubs. Then, with an even great crash, the whole tower fell, a combination of the tunnel and the trolls continued bombardment. “Run! Flee for your lives!” shouted a Knight wielding a great bronze axe. The men of the Crown followed his order, and fled into the swirling snows. One of the watchtowers had fallen!
Alimara was free to invasion from the North!

To be continued in Chapter 1 Part 1: To dine with a King.

This is the water. I made it by building a big blue wall, putting it on its side, and then placing the creation on top. I made it like this because the water would be smoother, and then I could have a smoother transition from land to sea.

This is the first floor. It was hard to make the floor, because I nearly didn't have enough tiles!

This is the second floor. It is the soldiers quarters. Two sleep at a time, while the rest patrols the cliffs. There is also a balcony, but it wouldn't fit into the camera.

This is the last 'inside' floor, the Generals quarters. You can see the scrying orb on the table.

These are the troll tunnels made to undermine the tower. As you can see, the whole shebang is raised 7 bricks off of the baseplate.

A scene from the battle.
