Spiral staircase
a small section of a castle
About this creation
I want to build a decent castle, a fortress of a lefthanded lord, so I'm trying out some things,
what do you think of this staircase ?

This is how I arranged the spiral staircases.

some knights for in the castle, what do you think of my shield ?

If I ever want to build my castle I'll have to demolish my biggest ship
and I don't feel like doing that, I just don't have enough lego :p
I guess I'll never have enough...

Nice idea I make my staircases the old fashion way with lots of tiles, short cylinder thingies, and two by four plates.

Sweet built! I assume the lord of this castle is lefthanded - why? On most castles the spiral staircase runs clockwise (from bottom to top). As most people are righthanded, the pillar comes in the way of your swordhand when attacking the tower. The defender has enough space to strike with his sword from above ;-) Really, I'm not kidding you! Cheers & build the rest of this castle, Jens

Nice work, I like the outside looking, but maybe I would use a more SNOTy looking inside. P.S.: Merry Christmas!

Sebeus - as always, nice work sir! Having never built a castle, I think this looks great. I mean it all looks good, its a clean build, everything is scaled correctly, it looks good. Eggplant is the castle master to speak to. As for you shortage of LEGOs, get used to it kid. There aren't enough LEGOs in the world to get your collection where you want it. Trust me. ;-) ~dave

yeah, buy more LEGO! Quality of build is more important than size though. Just look at Chris Phipson, he's all about size. ooh that came out wrong. I wanted to say that your shield is awesome, I forgot about that. Nice technique!

You just must go on and keep building!! this is great! and I have to agree with Dave's opinion, you'll never get your need, this is it :( any way for me I don't encourage you to destroy your amazing ship, if I have it I'd never destroy it(as I told you once), and it's not about SIZE in my opinion; it's about QUALITY... no need to make your castle HUGE, just a creative ideas with a clean build like what you did in this preview! any way it's your decision, I just can say keep it up and have a very MERRY CHRISTMAS :) >>> peace..
