This is a MOC I spent weeks on. And I hope you like it.
The Skipray
Well you know Darth Daxann? No, um... Well he is my made up Dark Jedi. He's in my Korriban Academy MOC! Anyway, I wanted a cool looking and practical ship for him to fly around in. So I went to Wikipidea (where else would I go?) and got bored. So I thought I would just make him fly around in my favorite Star Wars space ship - The SKIPRAY!
Yeah.
So I started building a grey Skipray Blast Boat, added a bit of Daxann's colour (blue) and vola! - Did I spell that right?
Take a look into the Skipray!
 The cockpit of the Skipray. Hello Darth Daxann! He can fly ships you know. Two Mini-figs can fit in there - just. I put lights at the top, theres some red ones at the back of the Skipray. Oh and sorry about the blu-tack. I need it to...
Well I wanted the right shape for the cockpit so I decided to use slopes at an angle. Guess what. The angle I needed the bricks to be at, the hinge brick would not allow. So the blu-tack holds the slopes at the correct angle.

And now we jump to the back of the Skipray! There's the end of the Hyperdrive engine at the back of the huge (HUGE) tail wing thing.
 The inside! That's Daxann's lightsaber collection. The ones on the floor are his. The black handled one ontop is Darth Dave's - A Sith guy I made up. Oh, the funny looking gun 2 lightsaber handle thing on the right? That's a plasma gun. Look! Theres also a droid at the bottom of the photo - let's have a look, shall we...
That droid is a Old Republic style protocal droid. Daxann found it in an old sith tomb, and kept it for himself! Its been repaired and updated, but still looks the same. It's in standby mode cliped to the wall next to the med bay. Theres bacta canisters there! Just incase somthing happens. That droid is also sometimes Daxann's co-pilot. See those hinges on the floor? Well...
The floor opens up! Yeah, I was going to have a ramp there but I decided to make a storage compartment insted. Thers spare guns and tools in there for just about anything. The only thing Darth Daxann forgot is the kitchen sink...
The Skipray Blastboat in flight mode. Homing missiles on the edges of the HUGE wing. Oh, and the HUGE wing is a bit heavy so it kinda droops a bit. It was worse, but I fixed it. It's ok though. But it does look bad in the photo - but I can assure you, it's really not that much of a droop, and the HUGE wing N E V E R falls off! True! I must shut up.
The back of the Skipray! In flight mode! I put little air intakes under the two side wings, detailed with those circular 'drain' bricks. Ofcores they only intake air to cool the engine when the Skipray is in an atmosphere. They are just extras. And I forgot to mention! Theres also a gun turret ontop of the roof!!!!! It's controlled by the ship's computer, or in a desperate moment, or for fun, it can be controlled manually by a gunner. Not the pilot of corse!

I have only discovered who Scorpion Saber is recently. When I built this I did not know who he was.

Its pretty good, but there is a comment below about yours looking like saber scorpions "Stingray Blastboat", type that in and then see what it looks like compared to yours, because I think you copied his, no offense.

ALOT! I made about 3 proto-types which were smaller. I demolished them and kept the best bits (Cockpit and back big wing). Then I made my 1st final version, it looked much the same as the photoed one. Then I made my 2nd and them 3rd. My 3rd Final is the one pictured and my absalute final one, I'm happy with it.
In total it took me 6 attempts!!! Keep building, if not toatlly happy with the model keep the best bits and redo the rest. it worked for me! |

Use your imagination. I made mine by looking at pictures of Skiprays on the internet. Wikipidea! Yeah! I looked up a skipray on there.

I didn't see any refference to Justin -saber scorpion- Stebben in there the cocpit is from his second moddle and so is the front of the wings, the rest is just moddified... |

Niiiccceee. Love the cockpit! Also the ship in flight mode, thats genius! Got a few MOC's of my own if u like to take a look? I'm guessing your quite the space fan? I will be uploading a load of future war stuff like that later on this week too. |
