When I first build the Black Pearl-lite I had wished that everyone could hold it in their hands for a moment to look at it. I thought that maybe I should give y'all building instructions! So that you could build one to look at. That's what I have done, checkout the building instructions!
Unlike many, OK - most of my MOCs, this one doesn't require much in the way of parts! I got to believe many of you have a extra set of small bow & stern.
Hopefully someone will try my building instructions, please let me know if you find any issues with the instructions. I built an extra one to test out the instructions myself. If you do build one (or have build one) I would love to know about it, If you post a picture of it some where and let me know, I might just come up with a prize for the first few!
What do I like with what I did with this MOC? I like that I used the short ratlines, I like that I used the small black and dark-gray hulls 6051cx3 and 6053cx3 to build a small ship. I like the black, gray and a touch of red colors. I like that she has a spinnaker boom. I like my bronze swivel guns. I like that I the used the gun ports in the bow to lower the attachment points of the far forward mast's rigging. I like the rake of the mast and the fact that I used real Lego sails and they actually looked good! I love the fairness of her lines ( how? wedge sloped) she looks so yare setting there (with one brick under her port-side) making her look hard-over on her attack reach. I think that she's low, clean and neat!
What was changed between rev.1 and rev.2? I made a few color changes of bricks from black to red, the arch in to the cabin and the bricks to each side of that passageway, in the ship's wheel pedestal and at the top of the prow.
What do y'all think?

I love it. It looks so fast and dangerous. I like the way you put the sails on I think that is the amin factor that makes this ship look so deadly. The little cannons you made are very creative. |
