full auto electric mp5 brickshooter
a replica of the mp5 that works using a similar mechanism to my full auto machine gun
About this creation
and another mp5...

this one is much better.

using the same basic mechanism as the full auto electric machine gun, this one is styled to look like Heckler&Koch's mp5a5. it uses a rubber band wheel, only this one has been scaled down considerably so that i can fit it inside the basic shape of an mp5 (only just!).

the gun features a working safety catch, a 20 brick magazine, sights, and a full auto function (obviously).

one problem with the design is that the bullets fly out at exactly the right tragectory that they hit the front sight. to counter this problem i put the sight on a hinge, so that just before shooting it can be flipped out of harms way and stop the gun look like its exploding.

another problem is that i couldnt fit in a telescopic stock. there simply wasnt enough room. oh well. i can live with that.

but as far as problems go, thats it! the gun is great, with a good range and a very high rate of fire.

videos:
as i say in the mp5 vid, the gun ran out of battery, so ive put the vid of the other machine gun here as well, so you can see how it works when fully charged...

That's a replica if I ever saw one, but next time, I would make the clip face the real way. 9.90/10 points!

Nice full auto, super impressive, glad there was a video to go along with it you know, to fix the ammo popping outa the top, you could reduce the tension of the rubber bands a bit... just a thought :D 100000/10 man, u still rule hard. I mean, I'm 17 and you've turned my intrest in lego's back up to 100% (from a dangerously low 25% i had before i saw these creations)

Now this is a true Mp5! Fully automatic brick shooter is a very nice thing to say about a Lego gun. The only thing I can see wrong with it is the straight clip but who cares. Excellent overall.
