My classic 1955 Chevrolet, reloaded with a monster engine and some new bodywork.
About this creation
I know it may have started to get boring, but i just loooooove putting huge engines in cars... as shown by my newest creation. i took my '55 Chevrolet (design credits go to Johannes Rojola, by the way), and decided to turn it into a mean drag racer. a few modifications to the bodywork, a couple of "special" items for the interior, and one helluva engine :D
The engine is in fact based on a real engine i saw pics of on the interwebz: a V8, with two superchargers bolted on top, one above the other. sounds crazy? sure. goes like stink? you betcha...
EDIT: found a short video of the real car on youtube.
The other modifications i made are really minor, a bit of streamlining work on the roof, minor changes to the front mudguard. a bigger pair of rear tires to get that power on the ground, and some spikes on the wheel hubs to make the car look a bit meaner. i'm actually really proud of those spikes, because i think they look really cool. i was inspired to add them by the movie Grease btw :)
Another thing i added was an interior, obviously racing-spec. A bucket seat, a modified dash with all but the most necessary of gauges (rev counter, speedo, pressure gauges), and two big fat nitrous oxide bottles for that extra bit of OOMPH off the line.
and that's about it for this MOC. was a lot of fun to build, and it looks really cool in my opinion. as usual, please do post some feedback on what you like/dislike.
Hey Ruud, if your not going to be a contestant in Exclusively Pickups current contest, would you mind being a judge? I think your a great constructive criticizer, and would be obliged if you would. Thanks, ~tetrbo~
