4-cylinder pneumatic engine. Smoother running than previous attempts and more compact.
About this creation
I would have made my last engine a 4-cylinder one but I didn't have enough pneumatic t-pieces, but having acquired some more, I was able to build this. It is much more compact than the 3-cylinder version, due to the fact that it doesn't require the axle to be rotated 120 degrees between each cylinder and it only requires two valves (excluding the pressure relief valve on top, which is unnecessary really, but pretty useful to relieve the tension that the pieces are under).
The extra cylinder allows it to run more smoothly than the previous one.

4 cilinder is so powerful!! The design is so small and compact! very good! Have try to run it whith a compressor?
My pneumatic engine run at a maximum pressure of 3.5 Atm! What is the pressure work of this nice engine?
Hey Tom, thats a great little engine! I know that the RPM is limited by the stickiness of the cylinders, but how fast does it go at full pressure? How are the timings sorted - Is it just the two switches on either end - one for two cylinders? Please caption your pics, it makes it easier to find ones with the right detail in! :-D
