Ultra Magnus transform from a car carrier into a robot, designed to scale with MP Prime. In his vehicle form, he even hooks up to Prime's cab and let Prime tow him along.
In the original Toy, UM is a white truck that transform into a robot that merges with the car-carrier/trailer. And he has alot of separate parts to be connected to fully transform him. And to top that off, he's a brick.
My version here is a standalone car carrier, so I have designed it in way that he can still transform into a robot without the truck in front, and he doesn't have any separate parts lying about. And his limbs and body parts are fairly proportionate. Cool huh! =)

Transformation step 1, unhook the top ramp to become the arm.

I use a different method to transform the arm. Instead of sliding into position, I am doing a double-flipping to shorten the ramp to become a proper arm, and still mantain the articulation for the elbows.

To lock into place, I use LEGO doors and rotate them into position, so the side of the leg won't fumble.
