The Addams Family House - A fun and slightly macabre addition to the layout.
About this creation
Growing up, I loved watching re-runs of The Addams Family and decided it was a must have for our town layout.
The exterior of the house is based on the mansion in the TV show with a few modifications. There was a model kit of the house that was sold, however it didn't quite fit the picture I had in my head, nor did it fit the images of the house from the TV show, so I took some creative liberties with the floor plan.
Let's take a look inside (this is my favorite part!) Ah look, Lurch is welcoming us inside.

I spent the most time with the main floor of the house seeing as that was the part I remember vividly.

I made sure to add the bear skin rug (oh, watch where you step!) and I always loved the swordfish mount with the guy hanging out of his mouth - how lucky was I to find a swordfish in our LEGO collection?!
Lurch's organ is also a focal point of the room - perhaps later he'll entertain us with a haunting melody....
Ah, and here we see some of the other members of the family. Morticia, Gomez, Wednesday and Cousin Itt have gathered to welcome us today. I see Thing has brought in the mail too.
Moving to the second floor, we have the master bedroom and Wednesday's room. I'm still working on improving this part of the house - need to do some additional research and add some more details, but for now this will work.
The attic is where I always envisioned Pugsley's room, complete with a random assortment of dynamite and instruments of torture. Uncle Fester is always good for a laugh too - I always loved the light bulb trick he did!
One last detail that I couldn't forget was Morticia's conservatory/greenhouse. I had a great time creating the man-eating plants.

I am a Addams Family fan, and I believe you captured the image of the house wonderfully. Keep up the good work. Oh, by the way, I created a group where people present motions of things that LEGO could make. Accept the invite to it please. |

You are absolutely correct...I'm thinking of taking out the large bedroom on the 2nd floor and replacing it with the train room :) |

BEST EVER!!! I watched the same show when I was young. I think I had the first SPACE LEGO bought for me in '79, I couldn't decide between the show and LEGO, WELL now I can have both. Thanks to you. Great choice of pieces, especially the brown color. |

Outstanding! Such attention to detail, and the inclusion of the different rooms the Addams family used for their ghoulish recreation.
Keep up the great MOCs. |

This is sweet. The obvious care (not to mention time and money) that went into this is amazing. The details bring out the spirit of the TV show, so to speak. I'd vote for you to tackle the Munsters house next! |

I watched this get built and saw all the blood, sweat, and bricks Stacy went through to get this where it is. Rest assured it's even more epic in person. Her attention to the minute details continues to astound me. I'm going to have to start contracting with her to furnish the inside of my MOC's. Anyway, nice work sweetie. This rocks and I am so glad you share my passion for the brick. |

Ah, what a brilliant idea! I never thought I'd see the day when somebody created anything Addam's Family related. Well executed, and again, good thinking. I'll have to watch some reruns to be reintroduced to the characters (I seem to have forgotten some). |

What a GREAT choice for a build!!! Ruth and I are big fans, and she got a kick out of seeing this one (it's a rare thing for her to even raise an eyebrow at a LEGO creation, so consider that a real compliment!). Some fun details, too. Nice job. |
