Inspired by BryTri4ce's brickbuilt Samus, I decided to attempt my own. So, without further ado, here's my Lego version of the Varia Suit from the Metroid series!
About this creation

View from the side. The orange life preserver pieces really came in handy for the round look of the shoulders. I'm really proud of the hand design.

A pose showing the articulation in the legs and arms. Also, I know the feet aren't the right color, but I couldn't find the pieces in orange.

The Grapple Beam power-up attaches to the hand. The gray hand is from Metroid Prime 3, after getting the Grapple Beam.

Ahhhhhhh! Metroid!

The gunship from Metroid Prime 3. A real challenge to build!

Mission complete! The elevator-thing also acts as a great stand!

Quoting Jaden Hageman can you please make a tutorial?? I know how to make the legs and the first part of the body but i dont know everything else. I want to use it in my Youtube video and i will give all credit to you for the samus.
I might at some point, but I haven't done too much lately on MOCpages. For now, I'll do my best to explain how to make the body! The body is an upside-down 1x1 block with studs on each side. To connect the arms, I used 2x1 plates with studs in the center (the studs on the central 1x1 block should connect to bottom center of the 2x1 plates). For the back, which connects to the head, vertically attach a regular 2x1 plate to the stud on the back of the 1x1 block (this is done the same way as the side plates: attach the stud on the block to the center of the plate on the back). The head is attached to the back with a minifig backpack piece (the same type of piece as Samus' left hand). Place the hole of the backpack piece on the top stud of the back plate. The stud on the backpack should be facing upwards, allowing you to connect the head. Hope this helped, good luck!

Quoting Spencer Rollins instead of finding orange feet or using silver feet use the tan feet
I've thought of that, but I actually only have the piece in black and silver.

Quoting Nitrosity The CyborgNinja the suit design is awesome. your ship isn't the best replica that i've seen, but it's not terrible. i like that your used the insectoid helmet for the metroid. and i noticed that samus is using a blue rocket on the metroid, that would be the ice beam/rocket combo, the easiest way to kill a metroid. good job :D
Thanks! The ship actually looks better in person, I just couldn't get good pictures with my internal camera, so I'm probably gonna post an updated page for this MOC.

Quoting Jorge Sansall An amazing ship scaled close to your Incredably awesome Samus. samus seems to be everywhere on this site (including my page) and you definatly make it to the top 3 of best samus ever. wow strict guidlines to get in that group. in case you're wondering yes i've made it through magmoor no suit 7 energy left. (you beat me you had 8) did a super metroid speed run 2:45 86% items, on the virtual console with a GC controller. and after much effort and relentless trying i finally got the space jump after landing took me about an half an hour to finally get it. anyway Great MOC
Well, I'd invite you (you pass, definitely), but I need to talk to the other admin of the group (Nowhereman). I'd love to see you join though! If you know of any other Metroid-loving MOCers, we'll take what we can get (at least, at the 'fanatic' level). Funny thing about the SJ first trick-- it's really hard the first time you do it, then it becomes kind of hard, then it becomes second nature. Out of curiosity though-- NTSC, PAL or Player's Choice version?

Quoting Tracy Bowersox Unfortunately, Dread's existence has been openly denied, even with what seemed to be a hint about it in Prime 3.

Quoting Areetsa C Well, I've got a 15% run on Hard Mode and I'm stuck at MB too; anyhow, as for the moc, very nice: not a single cut or damaged part that I can see. That's a plus, in case you don't know. It's also instantly recognizable, another plus. Who cares about colours, is what I want to know; it's close enough.
Thanks, I'm very proud of this creation. Wow! Lots of comments in the last day or so. Thanks to everyone who has taken the time to comment on my Samus fig, I really appreciate the feedback!

wow, this thing is great. the chest is perfecly designed. the legs could be a little longer, but that is minor complaint. keep up the great work! byt the way, does metroid fusion count?i've beaten that game with about 96% items in like 3 hours. and in metroid prime(1) have you gotten the double jump when you first make land-fall?

Quoting Mingo S. I've only done speed runs in Zero Mission, 1:39 is my best time.
I've done speedruns in ZM too. My best completion time is 1:16:06, but I have two other games stalled at Mother Brain, one at 0:38:36 the other at 0:42:50. More info in group if you're interested. Anyways-- nice MOC! a very unique method of making the shoulders, and it works quite well. The gunship is good, as well, but I think the Samus fig is the better part of this creation.

Quoting Nowhere man Actually no. sorry. first you have to answer these. 1. Have you been through Magmoor Caverns without the varia suit. 2. Have you done a speed run? If so, which one and how fast? 3. What's the 21% mission final look like? 4. Who is the master of metroid prime speed runs?
1. Yes I survived with about 8 health left! 2. I've only done speed runs in Zero Mission, 1:39 is my best time. 3. For which game? 4. Depends which game you're talking about!

Quoting Tracy Bowersox Kudos for such a different shoulder approach. They look a tad big to me, but they are still very cool. The legs, however, should be longer and not so spindly. Keep up the good work.
Thanks, the life preserver pieces were the main reason I decided to make this creation. I know the legs are a little short, but I was trying to make Samus about the size of a minifig.

Actually, I'd had the idea for Samus for a while, so it didn't take that long to build. The gunship, on the other hand, took quite a while!
