At BrickCon 2008 in Seattle Washington, a band of builders put together the biggest display of Battlestar Galactica Lego mocs ever assembled.
About this creation

The complete display included 12 feet of hangar space, custom minifigs, 48x144-stud mosaic of Galactica, a small microscale fleet, and 35 fighter-sized ships, including Vipers, Raptors, and Cylon Raiders.
Click here for tons of overview shots!
and here for many details!
Some shots of the display:

Katie's mosaic!

Gary McIntire's Viper!

Fradel Gonzalez's Colonial Raptor!

Bram Lambrecht's Viper!

Nannan's infested Viper!

Brandon Griffith's fire-damaged Viper!

Zach Clapsadle's Raptor!

Andrew Lee's Raptor, Viper, and hangar!

Vipers parked on the Colonial Movers by Dan Rubin!
In a stunning grand finale, we found out at BrickCon that we won the Best in Space award! I couldn't be more proud of everyone who helped contribute in ways large and small to pull this whole thing together. So say we all!

This absolutely rocks. It was an inspiration to get me interested in doing my own MOC designs. A Raptor is coming someday soon! I created a custom Star Wars LAAT that is a bit of a nod to BSG in its design. It could definitely fit on the flight deck of the Galactica if I do say so myself! |
