a pair of working semi automatic Tec-9s

About this creation

these are 2 tec-9s. they are both semi-automatic, and have 15 round magazines.

in fact, theyre identical.

this is the first brick shooting gun that i have been able to make 2 of, which is great - un-biased gun fights!!

the problem that im sure every gun builder has had is that they build a really great gun, and then thats all theyve got! this means no gun fights, as no-one wants to go up against you and your mega gun (or whatever), armed only with a tidly little RBG hand gun!

so this is why i built these guns. there is another reason, and that is GTA: San Andreas - if you get your Tec-9 skill up to hitman level, you can wield 2 at the same time! this is also great fun with mine.
(NB: on GTA they are full auto, but in real life the gun wasnt actually sold with a full auto mode - the criminals would alter the design so that there was, and this is what GTA has done.)

the guns have a store of 15 RBs and 15 1x4 lego bricks (the ammo). the RBs start on a 40 tooth cog just behind the 'chamber' (top of the magazine where the first round comes out) and hook round the end of the barrel, and are clipped onto a hook on the underside of the gun. an early model of the gun had them starting at the back and ending at the front, but as the chamber is nearer to the front than the back, the bands had lost almost all of their power by the time they hit the bullet, causing the gun to 'dribble' instead of 'shoot'.

the bands are hooked up to a semi auto mechanism which i had to re-design halfway through building (see above), and now the trigger mechanism is mainly at the back (apart from the trigger its self!).

using the gun is pretty straightforward - load it (see the video), point it in the general direction of your opponent, and pull the trigger repeatedly. 1 pull = 1 shot.

It's amazing, Jack! But really, do people really need to be asking for instructions? I bet if I sat down looking at this page for 20 mins, I could figure it out. But anyway, great tec-9! I'll probably be trying to build this tomorrow! ;)
