Namesake: The Glaephnir is named after a monumentally sized bomber from the Game Ace Combat 10: Skies of Deception. the bomber is the size of a small airfield and has the ability to cloak itself.

Campaign intel: The Glaephnir served with distinction, for its entire service. the aging warship had to undergo several refits to keep up with its more modern enemies, and changes were made, such as the loss of its main AA battery in favour of a shiny new missle launcher, and the loss of the bridge machine gun, as well as equipment changes. the Glaephnir was a long serving ship, and was finally and regretfully retired on 3/1/09, nearly a year after completion. its main traits live on in the newer vessels, and the crew all remember the ship on which they learned so much.
