This is my second MOC, not bad for only taking a few hours. It looks much better in person.

About this creation

This is my second Lego MOC. A scaled down version of the Longsword Fighter/Bomber from the Halo Video Games. The overall shape is really close to the model, but angles were hard to find even though I had almost every black angled plate to work with. The cockpit could look a little better, but I really like the angled roof and couldn't find anything better to use as the glass except clear bricks. Check out the pictures and let me know what you think!

I really like how the overall shape of the craft turned out. I only wish that I could have made it about double or triple the size so it could be to an actual minifig scale. A minifig does sit in the cockpit however.

The engine nacelles should technically sit under the wings, but it worked better and with less pieces to just build them on the top and the bottom.

The orange light that appears on this pic is just a light from my Camera. The whole ship is black. The tailfin might be a bit too long, but the image that I printed and used as an overhead reference even had the tail sticking out further than I thought.

This was my main reference image for this model. I'm pretty sure this is an in game model of the Longsword.

I hope you enjoyed this creation! I'm not sure if I'll undertake anymore Halo re-imaginings, but I had fun with this one so who knows. Thank you for visiting!

it is an awesome longsword. wanted to know if you could make a video on how to make it on the lego digital designer and put it on youtube. the name of the video would be "how to make a lego longsword." if you are able to do that, i'd be real happy. email me the video if you are succesful. thnx alot.

Quoting harper steele you can drive one of those in halo 1.

Actually it would be pilot, and you can't pilot a Longsword in any Halo games thus far. You escape on one at the end of "The Maw" In Halo 1, but you don't actually pilot it, it's just a cutscene.
