Painted Castle
The most beautiful lego castle in the world
About this creation
Many years in the making - each brick was spray-painted in layers to look like stone. Perched on an outcropping of stone in the Sea of Mysteries, it can only be reached by water vessels. It is rumored that flying machines are being developed as the royal family includes a lovely daughter, Alexandria, who is quite prone to sea-sickness.

Nicely done! Although I'd never have the courage to spray-paint my Lego... -shivers- =D

I can't believe I've never seen this before. I also can't believe the number of likes on this. Should be much higher. This is one of the best original castles I've seen on this site. All of the spires that you included on this just look gorgeous. And nice job on the spray-painting, really gives it a nice effect. The purists may have something to say about it, but the true artist can appreciate such a dedication to greatness. Well done.

Beautiful castle David! And while some purists may give you flak about the painting part, I'm not a purist, so AWESOME work! ~ Chris.

This is very beautiful! This doesn't even look spray painted. I'm sure it was a pain the paint each piece individually, but it was well worth it!

I am very much against spray painting lego bricks, but given the end result I can only admit that you got it right here. very nice castle design.

Quoting Chris Esparza on't have the right color, spray it. haha. I know its frowned upon, but I have done it before(though only with black for roof pieces). But now I discovered ebay and bricklink.
Yes! This was in the days just before Liberty Green came out, and I had a lot of really old beat-up bricks from the 60's. With all the other newer colors now, I don't spray paint anymore - plus it disqualifies you from any offical stuff!

Very impressive design, though I'm not fond all the spray painting.
