This is another standard science vessel type used by the Exploriens. It is equppied with several different sensors. The cockpit can be undocked.
Right now, the vessel is scanning an asteroid in order to detect useful minterals, to gather some information about the past flight path of the asteroid as well as to learn something about the origin of the universe.
I am aware this design is not particularly the best choice if you want to fly into an asteroid field (at least if it's a movie-like asteroid field rather than a realistic one). However, I wanted to create something wide.
The wings should be stable, as I took every effort to fix them well, but if someone happens to build this and notices that the wings tend to come off easily, let me know so I can further improve the cohesion of the ship, please.
The cockpit is almost the same as the one from my model Exploriens Alien Probe Encounter, just with a few slight alterations. Yes, the other one is separable, too - needless to say that this cockpit and the one from the Alien Probe Encounter ship are interchangeable.
The asteroid was built the simplest way possible (like it would probably appear in an actual set), with the main part consisting of four BURPs (which I, by the way, have never actually considered ugly), but I'm quite content with the result. It looks tolerably spherical and we can imagine it's a solid piece of rock, even though it's actually mostly hollow.
