Two city buildings for the Skorpion Emirates

Near Skorpion river and Bay of Ark’tohl, the Skorpion Emirates have their biggest settlements. These giant cities behind high stone walls are controlled by the seven heptarchs of the high council. So, every city has its own residential building, the heptarch’s palace. You’ll always find this beautiful building at the market place, where merchants from all over the world sell their worthful goods. But don’t try to attack the heptarch or his royal guard, you won’t survive this mistake!

The military force is the root of the Skorpion culture, so every city also has a warrior academy. In this big building, the city guards are living, new warriors training and weapons stored. It’s also the court house for torturing or asking suspicious persons. Because there are many small groups, who want make a revolution, these buildings are best guarded and equipped with deadly traps.
The rich architecture shows the unending power of the high heptarchy, the Skorpion army and all, while most people of the Emirates live poor, often in hungry or in worst case as slaves. But not only warriors are excepted, also some loyal merchants can gain big poverty. The trade group is one of the higher society levels, but still under the warriors.
