What if Rollerblade comissioned OC Choppers to make a bike for them. What would it look like...hmmm....

This was originally built for a MOCing duel between me and Bryce. The rules were: Freebuild except no humanoids, five hour straight build time, post the next morning. Go.

The design in my head was basically a Velociraptor with the four inline wheels.

I got the wheels working but I started to run out of time. I had the head of the Velociraptor done but no body.

I started to like the straight forward chopper look as I had never done a bike before in my life. A first!

Rear shot. I wish I had more chrome.

Don't know much about motorcycles but I thought this simulated an engine.

This shot reminds me of Kaneda's bike from "Akira."

Look and marvel how the brakes' color matches the paint job. Amazing!

I bounced back and forth between the clear canopy and the black. Black is more sinister.

Those things that look like brakes are actually controls for the windshied wipers. One word, bugs.

I like how the gas tank line works into the seat. The side view gives you a better shot.

My single most favorite "happy accident" is where that piston is under the seat. See it? Just worked out radly. I wept openly when I saw it.

POV of bug/pedestrian that is about to be spatterfied.

   Ganster lean.

The front kinda reminds me of a lobster.

So I won't tell you who won the MOCing duel. I'll just say that there are no losers in competitions. Everyone is a winner. :-P

I'm the Associate Editor of a UK-based magazine called Intersection, and would REALLY like to do something on your Minifig bike. We're a car culture mag – we interview people like 50 Cent, do fashion shoots and cover all the major car related stuff every month. Anyway, we're doing a bike special next month. Which is where you come in. If possible, we'd like to come and photograph your bike professionally for a feature. We launched in the US this month, and have lots of contacts out there if needed (I presume that's where you live??). If that's not a possibility, we'd perhaps be interested in using the photographs that you took yourself - they look pretty good. We'd then like to interview you about the whole idea of using Lego creatively like this, what you get out of it etc. We think the whole concept is seriously cool. If you're interested, please get in touch ASAP. Regards Euan Sey Associate Editor Intersection Tel: +44 (0)1273 724235 Mob: +44 (0)7977 468678 E-mail: slipstreammedia@dsl.pipex.com

Jeff, you're a nut, god bless ya. This borders on cool and silly. Hate to have to sit on it for very long, as it is kind of small.

Akira + speed = Quad C. The real winners of the competition between you two are those of us who get to see the results of both your efforts. Great job!
