For the SCI-LUG Small Starfighter Build contest on flickr.
About this creation

COMPLETED -- 01/18/2009
My first MOC of 2009 is my tiniest ever! I've been really wanting to build a Blacktron MOC for a while now and the Small Starfighter Build contest on the SCI-LUG group on flickr seemed like a nice opportunity. Trans-yellow hasn't had much support from Lego since classic space and Blacktron so I don't own a proper trans-yellow windscreen and had to use what I had. So now that I've built a Blacktron MOC I finally appreciate why people love the Blacktron colors so much. I have to say that even though the actual design was better for Blacktron II, the original Blactron colors are a bit cooler. If only a trans-yellow windscreen would be a part of some Space 2009 set!
The conditions for the contest are that the ship has be no bigger than 14x14 and stand no higher than 5 bricks tall. This pic demonstrate that the conditions were met.. yay!
I'm not planning on stopping here... a mobile tank-like thing that the Lacerater could dock with is in a very early planning stage. Thanks for looking!

The claw theme on the front half of the ship is my favorite part. Great job! |

Wow! The engine is awesome, the claws give it character... and that evil smile at the end! Great MOC! |

tiny, but awesome... it looks similar to something that would climb up your urine stream to cause devastating damage and unspeakable pain. |

For the size restraints- that craft is dang near perfect and in excellent Blacktron fashion. I like the windshield area the most. It is so good, I think this ship would have been ideal as a substitute to the ship that comes with Blacktron I Message Interceptor Base. Would fit in the hanger too. Or could make a good stand a-lone set. W/e the case- nice job. |

Quoting Nate Bush
ust noticed the back of it looks like a face!
Yes Nate, the rear shot looks like some kind of face.. I'm a little annoyed by it but it's usually not as noticeable as in that one pic. |

Very cool. A touch of the modern with the colors of the past. I like the yellow pointy bits. Good design. see ya. garth |

I agree, Lego should start using more trans-yellow in its space sets. Very nice little Blacktron ship, especially considering the lack of an actual canopy piece and the size limitation. The little claws make it look evil! |

Small in size, great in genius. One of the most "modern" design I've seen for Blacktron, but it really has the evil, dangerous look it must have. Excellent !

Nice one Uspez. And I really need to take note of your ships' engines designs which are always unique, as this case here. Hang on, did you say...mobile...tank-like...thing...? *pant* *pant* |

Very nice. I was too young to have Lego when Blacktron came around, but I definitely like the yellow better. |
