The all purpose SurV 6 can be configured as a light combat vehicle to provide infantry support and deliver powered troops to the battlefield.
About this creation
The SurV (Surface vehicle) type 6 is a reconfigurable all purpose vehicle designed to be used under many circumstances and for many missions. The Ember Rayne carries two of these vehicles and a number of attachments to customize them. Shown here is the LAV (Light Assault Vehicle) configuration, painted a militarized black.
These several images show the SurV 6 LAV from various angles. As you can see, the vehicle is designed to carry two power armored troops into combat zones. Their CR-2 Assault Riffles are kept next to the troops until they arrive and deploy.
In these pictures, one of the troops has detached from the vehicle and has grabbed his weapon.
The LAV configuration sports a turret with a weapons array pod, equipped with a high caliber Gatling machine gun, four turbo lasers, and two mini-missiles.
The turret is controlled by the gunner in the cab of the vehicle, and can be rotated a full 360 degrees. These images show the turret rotated a bit.
The cab itself is fully environmentally sealed, protecting the driver and gunner from the harsh conditions of the future battlefield (especially on planets without breathable atmosphere). The door opens downward, providing a platform to stand on if needed, like if the vehicle has to stop over a gap or on rough terrain.
These pictures offer a glimpse into the inside of the cab. You can see the steering wheel, gear shift, panel indicators, and comfy seats. There is even an overhead light inside as well. I am not sure how the gunner uses that clip to control the turret, but he manages somehow (it looked better than when I tried to cram a console in there). The interiors of the cap is built on a half stud offset, providing a seven stud wide space without adding too much width.
The back of the vehicle contains a small storage area. There is just enough room for a binocular scanner and two light laser pistols for the driver and gunner. The closed shot shows a bit of the underside as well.
The underside of the SurV 6 has some extra detail packed in.
These last two shots show the base configuration of the SurV 6, with the LAV module removed. It can be reconfigured with a different set attachment, or used this way to haul cargo.
