This is where all witnesses and all pieces of evidence for a crime are brought to and examined.
About this creation
This building is where all witnesses and evidence concerning currently investigated cases are brought to and examined.
The lower storey provides access to the landing platform right in front of the building and contains an office where information can be retrieved and evaluated and where witnesses can be interrogated.
In the upper storey, there is a lab table where pieces of evidence may be examined. Moreover, there is a communication central which manages some nearby movements of Space Police vehicles as well as any traffic on the landing platform.
The passage below the building leads to a Space Police parking lot.
The small ground vehicle is used by Space Police officers to drive wherever they want, the big vehicle transports a prisoner and can defend itself with the two (turnable) blasters. The glider on the landing pad can take up to two persons and is often used to transport witnesses to and from the investigation center.
My first idea for this building was a landing pad high above the ground with an little bridge to a building right next to it, as well as a long ramp leading up to the entrance. For the sake of better playability, the roof of the left part of the building can be removed. There are some stairs leading up the half-storey from the entrance section to the corridor, but the stairs from the lower to the upper storey are not contained in the model. They're supposed to be located in the never-modeled back part ;-) (More precisely, behind the left part of the building.)
As for the glider, the pointed end is the back. The side panel design was obviously copied from 6886. I quite like the short canopy used on that vehicle, so it's going to return in my MOCs. Note that the landing platform is just high enough above the ground for the prisoner transport vehicle.
For your information, as I have recently improved my OMake build scripts for the renderings to include additional, custom light sources, I have updated some of the pictures of my older MOCs, such as the Space Police I Operations Center.

What program did you use to make this? Just asking.
Hi :-) The models are done in LDraw, using MLCAD as an editor. Please look at the title page of my MOCpages profile, I have described my complete workflow there (section "Methods and Tools"). Feel free to write me if you'd like any further information or files.
OMG OMG OMG OMG OMG!! OMG OMG OMG OMG!! Ok that is the base for SP 1 I have been dreaming of. I give 5 stars because just incredible good work and patience to make it. If I ever built a base similar, you get so much credit. Now we need to see this in real legos.
Just excellent! I like the two land vehicles. This would be great as a real set because it would be easily customizable, being able to put building sections in a lot of configurations with the same basic construction. There's also a lot of room on the ground and in the building for playing. Good job!
