A life-size replica of the Battle Rifle from Halo 2.

This is my second generation Battle Rifle. It is a little small though . . .

Yes, it is standing up by itself. It's just so cool to actually have your very own Battle Rifle after playing Halo 2 for so long. Too bad it's weaker then the real thing.

The stock with the ammo in. Nothing special, but it did take a while to find those 2x1 upside-down roofing tiles.

If you look in the game, it actually looks like that unloaded. And if you look closely, you'll see a piece missing, but I found it again. For some reason I took it off to put on something that I don't even remember. It is back now, of course.

The back of the Battle Rifle. It took me so long just to find all those roofing bricks for the sides, and even longer to do the stock.

This is the strange cocking mechanism I invented for it. All you do is pull back the round 2x2 and then let go. It does sound like cocking because of the lego pegs under it. That blue thing you see through the hole is a rubber band. It's a Bohrohk rubber band, and it works well enough.

One of my favorite shots, a look down the barrel as if you're playing. You see how accurate that is? And just look at that awsome scope.

As you can see, this is the front. The hardest part was probably the barrel, considering that I didn't even do it right! It's supposed to be three pronged but that is just impossible with current Lego pieces.

Back to the front, this is the grip. It didn't take me that long to make, but I did change it a couple of times.

Yep, the Battle Rifle seems to be the most popular weapon to lean on things. It does look akward there, doesn't it?

And now to the scope itself. No, that round blue lens is actually just a clear lens sharpied blue. The little knobs are cool but don't do much then that. This is the second scope I made. The first was basically the two black end pieces on this one with two wheels in between.

The stock took the longest. It has a lot of design flaws, but a lot of designs on it. I tried to make the bottom of it look really accurate, because if you reload, it shows a strange pattern where the ammo goes in as stated above.

And me holding it. Yes it is a tad small, but I don't care, it rocks! Sorry the picture is blurry, but I had to take the picture myself by putting the timer on. It doesn't allow high-res and timer options to be on at the same time.

What I find funny is that everyone who makes a halo gun makes the fatal mistake of saying " life-size". if you think about it, Master Chief's gloves add about a centimeter of armor on the fingers, palm, and the back of the palm, so if it was life-sized, it would be a good half-a-centimeter larger all around. other than that, pretty good, Four dismembered lego heads out of five. |

This is great, but the only thing I would change is the front of the rails. I think it would look more realistic to use the 1x2 and 1x3 slanted bricks to give it a "curve'

There are plenty of Battle Rifles out there, and many of them are good, but its hard to say which one is the best, but I would say yours up there for accuracy. The carrying handle/ rail is kind of oddly shaped, it shouldnt have the extreme angle transition from the top to the 2 wing pieces on the front. You could have done better there with roofing bricks. It could be just me, but I think the pistol grip is too long...oh well, and the barrel shouldnt have that cone on it. Other than that everything looks great. Good job, now take on the Assault Rifle. P.S. I dont know if you ever review MOC's, but if you get the chance, could you leave a review on my Battle Rifle. Thank you. |

personally, i never liked the battle rifle in the game. the assault rifle was much better. but i cant be biased. im not sure if im right, but the barrel looks a bit too long. but i could be wrong. |
