The R.A.F. Desert Devil is one of the best transport ships the R.A.F. has. It is used for bringing troops, vehicles and supplies from place to place. It is even equipped with a heavy machine gun in case it runs into any trouble. The Devil is made so that the sides are low so that nothing gets under it. The wheels are located underneath and there is just enough room for the wheels to roll along the ground nicely without having the side bumpers dragging along the ground. The front cockpit is very spacious and has a steering wheel, a gear shifter, a computer to monitor radar and communications and then a temperature gage for the machine gun in case it overheats. Behind the cockpit is a nice little walkway to the main cabin where mostly everything is stored. The little walkway is usually where the captain of the Devil stays and monitors everything. In this case the captain is the man in the grey helmet with the rifle and binoculars. Moving onto the main cabin – this is where all the fun stuff happens. There are two benches for troops to sit on and then right behind the bench is a little balcony for scouts to look out. In the middle of the cabin is where vehicles stay or large amounts of cargo. In this case the Devil is transporting the Dingo. Moving onto the end of the ship are two slits in the wall for soldiers to shoot out of. There is a small gate that opens by the control of the driver. The gate drops down and then everyone exits. The Devil is very versatile as well. It can travel on ground and in shallow water too. The R.A.F. also uses this for expedition trips or when they are building new bases the Devil is used. It has four supplies located around the ship and when they are needed the troops just simple take them off and begin to work. There are two blast screen doors that move up and down. If there were no blast doors, there would be a large hole near the top, as you can see from the “blast doors up” picture, which would enable enemies to throw grenades or just get shots in. These doors make sure that doesn’t happen. The Devil is a lot faster than most people think. It isn’t faster than the Interceptor but it is close to it. I really like how this creation turned out. I like the overall shape of it and I love the colour scheme. One thing that I have started to learn more about Lego is that the colour scheme can make or break a creation. So I am trying to use more and more effective colour schemes. The Devil’s crew consist of the captain who is wearing the grey helmet, the lieutenant who is driving the ship and then the rest are just normal soldiers. Once again I hope you guys enjoy it and please write comments or leave suggestions. Thanks again! LEGO LUNATIC
