This is a starfighter based upon sci-fi cat species like the Mrrshan, Kilrathi, etc. Influenced by Wing Commander fighters.
About this creation
I actually built this fighter about two years ago, when I first got started into Lego building, and I had pathetically little in terms of brown and orange. So, I mixed the two to try and come up with a camoflauge pattern; I don't think it exactly worked. I kept the fighter because I did like the design. Also, the lack of variety in parts explains the yellow 'beak' that the fighter has.
Obviously this fighter has high swooshability, and the engines encourage a person to make a loud engine noise as they swoosh it about their apartment. The primary engine is center, the two side engines are for added thrust and maneuverability.
On the underside you can see the landing gear folded up, although the fighter sits perfectly well on its underside vertical stabilizer wings. There are four hard-points for various missiles.
The fighter has two primary, heavy cannons, made from hockey discs from the oversized hockey series that Lego did some years ago. There are also two smaller cannons on the topside of the wings, lets call those ion cannons, and the big ones pulse cannons. I still love the bat-wing style of this. I still do not have the heart to take it apart for other MOC's or to attempt a rebuild.
And here we are, parked on the landing gear with the dorsal and ventral stabilizer wings folded down. This allows for ease of storage on a space carrier.
Ah, so you play Master of Orion too, eh? I really like all the details you put on that thing. I myself made a sturdy forward-swept-wing fighter and another fighter with a miniature radar in the nose. I never did well with landing gear, though. Keep up the great work! And by the way, the yellow nose still looks appropriate on your fighter.
