Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann (Quark-Fig Scale V.5)
When is my Revoltech TTGL gonna arrive at my house!? At first I demolished my old TTGL, and didn't really want to make a new one, but after I became impatient with my Revoltech TTGL's internet order, I decided to give it another shot. I still need flames though. I'm not sure if I will keep this after I get my Revoltech one, so I might not finish it.
About this creation

Dai Gurren Dan:

Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann episode 27 at MEGAVIDEO.com--video by: Ninoqueso

"Even if we were to be enslaved in the galaxy's cycle of rebirth, the feelings that were left behind will open the door! Even if the infinate universe were to go against us, our burning blood will cut through fate! We'll break through the heavens and dimensions! We'll show you our path by force!
Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann! WHO THE H*** DO YOU THINK WE ARE?!" (This was the epic speech from episode 27!)

Quoting Lego Zero You're a marvelous builder as always! You convinced me to watch the show. It's pretty wicked. Kamina reminds me of Domon from G Gundam in appearance and attitude. =]
Sweet, glad you like it. Just wait til you seen the final battle. You'll S--- yourself! My friend at school wasn't really an anime fan or someone who goes crazy for it, but when he saw the final fight, he told me he literally almost S--- himself!

Quoting Niji Kami I was rumiging through my legos the other day and found an old RockRaiders-set drillhead. I was wondering if you know about this part. It's old and hard to get now, standing about 8 modules tall and 3 modules wide at the base and it's painted chrome like the lego mini lightsabers. Just asking because it would go perfectly with this unit as the giga drill.
So are you a TTGL fan too? You should watch the whole series. It's so epic, you'll get goosebumps! Anyway, I already took my LEGO TTGL apart, but it woulda been useful. I knew about it though. I wished I had one.

Quoting Niji Kami I think I've seen the final episode to this show. The redhead with the sniper, doesn't she summon up a galactic sized rifle like it to use with that mech. If so why not try building one for it. Just a suggestion.
Yes, Yoko does! Watch the whole series so you get it though. It's the most epic anime ever!!

Quoting Xiazeran . HEY PHONG, SOMEONE JUST POSTED AN AMAZING LAGANN ON BRICKSHELF! (http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=366213)
I've seen that as well as a Gurren Lagann, Yoko,(WOOT)Gurren Lagann with jetpack, and Chouginga Gurren Lagann. They can use work, but decent nonetheless. BTW, That Lagann is a bit too big for Simon! LOL! It's still great. I can actually see exactly how it's made. It's a very simple design, but so accurate! You and I could have both easily built that, but he beat us to it. :-(

Quoting Firas Abu-Jaber Dude this is awesome! it's not as complicated as your usual builds, but it's so neat! keep on the great work and BRICK YOU ;) >>> peace.. Fofo
It's not nearly as complex as the Battousai Suralta, but it's in the classification of a "Super Robot." There are 2 classes: 'Real Robot's' and 'Super Robots.' Real Robots are more military based with no special powers like Gundam and Armored Core. (exception of G Gundam) Real robots are more complicated in design than Super Robots. Super Robots often weild more mythical weapons or close range weapons. They normally have a more EPIC base, and cooler attacks. They have special powers. As Super Robots look less complex than Real Robots, their simple design is more eyecatching and in my opinion, cooler. The reason I like them so much better is that even though their simple looking, the simple desighn suits them and often gives them ore bad@55idy in image. They look simple, but much more epic. Examples of super robots are: TENGEN TOPPA GURREN-LAGANN!!!,(The most epic of them all needs caps) Mazinkaiser, Shin Getter, G Gundam, Mazinger Z, Great Mazinger, Dangaioh, etc.

Xiaz, I've seen eps 27, 11, and 8 all at least 39 times! Trust me, It'll make more than just your week. It'll make your life! The show opens your eyes with an epic method! It shows that ANYTHING truly is possible. Scientists may say that a galaxy sized mech, able to move faster than light, powered by fighting spirit is impossible, but they simply haven't discovered the technology. Just because they haven't seen something, doesn't mean it isn't there. There is speeds faster than light. Speed is infinate. Since the outside of a wheel spins faster than the inside, if the inside span at light speed, it would force the outside to go faster. Scientists just haven't discovered material that's able to withstand/control that pressure, so this can't be tested. (TTGL moves much faster than light speed because his shere size is so big that one step moves billions of lightyears. Since one step takes so little time for him, his foot is moving faster than light--by far! Also, If scientists can moniter brainwaves using lie detectors, why not have an upgraded technology that takes positive brainwaves and turns them into raw energy. The material that TTGL uses can have some super expanding property allowing it to reach that size. Evn though nothings impossible, if scientists say it is, simply quote Tengen Toppa Gurren-Lagann and say, "Go beyond impossible, and kick reason to the curb!"

I've been waiting for this!! It definitely needs the flames...and a galaxy-sized sniper rifle!!! I'm working on a revoltech-sized GL, but I need better parts for articulation!! I'm stuck in a rut here!! Anyways, great job, it looks a lot like it!
  January 31, 2009
Heeey Phong! Great to see something new from you! This newest rendition is incredible. I'd say the biggest improvement is the fact that he's fleshed out more and isn't flat. The legs, the arms, the torso, the head... all of it is Epic Win!! Great job, I look forward to your next big project! Keep on building ~ Nowhereman
