This is my 7 - 8 wide BR 52 kon, a heavy german 1'E (2-10-0) steam engine. The engine, espeacialy the understand, is inspired by the awesome Reko BR 52 from monteur, which you can find here:>>http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=291669<<.
The BR 52 kon is a special version of the well known BR 52 "Kriegslok" which was modified for water condensation tenders, like the 4 axeled tender I have build. The 4 axeled tender is the smaler and ligher, but not so effektiv version of the 5 axeled condensationtender whis was build by "Henschel" in larger numbers. The 52 kon engines was developed, after the germans captured some russian condensation engines during WW2. The original engine ist 151 t heavy, with a length of 27.535 mm. The engines of this type was in use until the 1960's. After they get out of duty, all BR 52 kon was scraped. My lego model was build with about 2200 pieces. It's about 65 cm long.
Like all of my moc's, no glued, cutted, pastet or painted lego and all decals are selfmade. The wheels are from BBB, the rest of the engine was build with 100% original Lego bricks. I hope you like it.
