About this creation
This is my 7 - 8 wide BR 58.30, a heavy german 1'E h3 + 2'2' T 28 steam engine. All 58.30 was constructet in east germany using old BR 58 (G12) steamer. The engine was one of the most powerful german steamegines wich was ever build. The original engine is 160,8 t heavy, with a length of 22.110 mm. The 58 3047-6 is today a technic memorial in the railroad museum of Glauchau.

My lego model was build with about 1500 pieces. Like all of my moc's, no glued, cutted, or painted lego and all decals are selfmade. I used some red tape to hide the black lego plates wich are holding the lage windshild in the front of the engine below the the boiler, because I could'nt find some red parts. I will fix it until I get some red. The wheels are from BBB, the rest of the engine was build with 100% original Lego bricks I tryed to build the engine in scale to my BR 52 kon. I doesn't use the driving rod and the understand from the BR 52 kon because it is very instabil, so I have reduced it to the original idea of Ben's awesome BR 39 which you can find here >>http://www.brickshelf.com/cgi-bin/gallery.cgi?f=217197<<. I hope you like it. It was hard work to build it, because the engine is to short for a 1'E with the lage BBB-wheels.
