AND YES I KNOW ITS UGLY AS HECK, BUT ITS WHAT IT CAN DO THAT MATTERS!!!!!!!!
The Armored Vehicle or as I call it, The AV. Its basically a rolling lego sledge hammer, NO, SERIOUSLY IT IS!!! Made of soild Legos, it can withstand several repeated drops from a height of about 4-5 feet and depending if your dropping it on hard carpet or rugs, or an actual hard floor. I made this back when I was 11, making it one of my oldest lego models. It has gone through some internal changes however, though it remains the same on the outside. Orginally it was made completely out of the standard blue 2x4 bricks, then I added a lego boat weight, to get more mass and to have more forward momentum. Then I added a second boat weight, as before to get more mass. But, however, the structual integrety was compromized. So, fourth, the 4th and final version you see here, has no weights, instead, flat plates fill the inside, were as normal bricks are on the outside. As I stated up top, its like a hammer made of legos on wheels. I used it as a battering ram to blow through enemy bases, I even used the back end of it as a hammer, to smash other lego vehicles, the back is covered in small scratches, dents, a colors from other lego bricks. Its not as heavy as it used to be, but its stronger.
As you can see it can fit a mini-figure, as most of my stuff did. Here where he sits is the weakest area, but still strong enough to take a beating. This model started life as a tank like vehicle, that had ramming capabilities, but after playing with it in battering ram mode most of the time I ditched the turret, and made it strictly for ramming purposes.
I tried to get a decent shot at the back,"Its Battle Scars" but it was a pain, you kinda can see some it!!! And why the cheesy name, well its kind of a mixed story, but in the movie Die Hard, the police send in a battering ram tank, the computer hacker says hey they got an "RV", but I miss heard it when I watched the movie for the first time, back when I made my "AV", well anyway, the movie inspired me to build it and I named it wrong, made up the meaning of Armored Vehicle, which is what it is, and decided to keep the name even after I found out he says "RV". There end of story.
