The Kowloon Seafood Import Company
A new building for Micropolis. A seafood importing business with a giant fish above the door.
About this creation

The giant fish is the symbol of The Kowloon Seafoot Import Company. The fish also symbolizes wealth in Chinese art, but sometimes a fish is just a fish, even if it is big.

I rebuilt this building from a previous Micropolis module. It was too fragile for transportation. The odd angle of the front was poorly constructed. I didn't anchored it very well and it kep falling off. I kept the roof intact. I think I could build it better now but I found myself moving away from that idea.

I found I wanted to make the front a display for the fish. Like it's in a showcase. I have always liked that fish. I tried to make the building feel more vertical. I find I tend to add horizonal stripes a lot. I do like things to be symmetrical.

I'm trying to make up my mind. Does the Kowloon building look better facing the Lovecraft Building or does it look better when they are back to back. Alternate shot over at the Lovecraft Building page.

This has a very Japanese/Chinese feel to it. Maybe because their the master's of using seafood in cuisine. Nice design, your whole micropolis has a very futuristic feel to it that I enjoy looking at, keep it up!

I say side by side. But then again, that's only because I like to be difficult. I knew this girl once with a shellfish allergy. Really. It made her chest swell up everytime she got near it. Needless to say I always kept a lobster in my pocket so I'd be happy to see her... ~ Chris.

If you have them back-to-back, I think you should add some ghetto, or alley, or even shipping doodads. And a big green container behind the love building. Good day

I think the buildings look good how you have them situated. All the red and clear makes me hungry for some lobster!
