gun room designed with angled walls
About this creation
This episode sees no real problems, but the extension of the ship into the Gunroom, which will feature two "bay" areas (like a bay window, but not) that will be the gunner stations. Not sure what to do in the rest of the room, prolly add some computers and make it look like either a planning room or a research room.

I also start on the middle area of the ship, that is both the Bunk room and the missiles. For missiles, think current Nuclear subs, and how they store nukes. They are giant missiles that stand vertically and are aimed by a computer. These missiles are generally strategic in nature, rather than tactical, and carry a much larger warhead.

I'm thinking the Kalashnikov's primary mission will be espionage and strategic WMD carrier.

with the angled walls. i'm using the slopes as anchors for the wall, otherwise i'd just flop around randomly.

a side shot of how the angled up floor will look. the roof will be the exact opposite. it took my a while to get that 2 plates and a 1x3 inverse slope perfect line to match the floor.

finished room with the gunner consoles. unfortunately these will be practically covered up by the roof.

dan jassim used taps as gun control sticks, and i like how they look. paul hartzog first got me thinking about creative interior design with his chair designs. the consoles are made with headlight bricks, a 1x2 hinge, and an upside-down computer.

a look at the port hole door which will lead to the escape pod port and the rest of the ship. my hope is that all the interior doors will serve as emergency airlocks should there be any hull breech.

a computer console will be next to each escape pod. it'll be like a maintainence checkpoint.

beginning of the mid section. the blue things are the beds and the 2x2 round bricks represent will the missile will go. there are also lockers there.

   another shot.

close-up. a good shot of the beds. the best you'll get. they'll be covered later.

a sofar look. note, more angled walls for the midsection. i *love* 3-4-5 triangles!
