Lot of work, this Aston Martin DB5. But is was really worth it! Retractable machine-guns and ram, bullitproof shield coming out of the rear and last but not least: great working ejector-seat !!! Please tell me what you think of it ;)

I just realized that I haven't written a comment here, yet. I love this car since I bought my first Corgi model of it (even before I watched Goldfinger the first time). I had the small and the big model from the 80s and later I even bought an original one from the 60s. So for me this model is like a dream come true. It's so cool how you captured the shape of this great car and included all the gadgets. Great Job! :-)) |

All the functions here are great touches. The movies were also a good addition for showing them in action, although I think I would have preferred a single video with all the functions shown in it. I simply can't find anything to criticize about the build, though. Great work making a model of a classic car. |

If I'm totally honest, I don't think that you've captured the shape of the real thing quite as nicely as you have in many f your other models, however I think there's two reasons for that, the real car is supremely curvaceous and difficult to model in Lego, and your standard is so high the rest of the time. That aside it's great to see the working features that you've managed to integrate. Overall a great MOC. |

This is really incredible, Fred! We're sorry we missed it before. Actually, the 007 DB5 has been on our build list for a while (to go with our other 007 MOCs), including most of the features you built in to this one (we were going to put the "flip-around" license plates on as well)...but after seeing this, it would be a waste of time! You've captured it beautifully...remarkable work! BTW...many thanks for the group invitation-we're honored, but have very little time for groups and reading comments, etc. (please read our home page for more details, and by all means...e-mail us sometime! We'd love to learn more about you...brixwerx@live.com) Your fans, D&J |

Do you have a manual instruction for doing the same models and a listing for the pieces?
Thank you very much.

Oh! You added some videos. That ejector seat is the coolest part, I think. How does it work? With rubber bands, or with shock absorbers from the technic sets? BTW, the machine guns were totally awesome, too.
Hi Nate, the seat works with a simple rubber band but it took lots of trying before the roof opens and all that. Oh well, it only has to work for a week, i took it apart allready ;)

This is the best car so far from you. It has even a shield that comes out of the trunk like in the real car in the movie and the sahpe is really good, because I see inmedeatly that it is a aston martin DB5, and it is one of the hardest shape/ car to built and this is the best I've ever seen, almost like firas style. Keep up the magnificent work my friend. |

(5 minutes later) Okay, I'm back. Where was I? Oh yeah... THIS IS DANGEROUSLY AWESOME!! I think it's the first one of its kind. I've never seen a large-scale Lego Aston Martin before. And on top of that, you've packed it full with fantastic details! The machine guns! The ejector seat! Plus, these cars are worth a lot today. A real one would cost you $$$$$. Plus if you're going to put in an ejector seat and guns, it would be even more, hehehe! |
