Octan Goes Space
About this creation
Octan gets Spaced out. I built the engine pods for this ship first, intending to build a generic white and green ship. Then I thought, "Why not good 'ol Octan" so I threw the red stripe in and the rest went from there. I think those X-Pods make pretty good tanks, and I wish I'd had more than 3 to put on here. Note the pictures of Version 2 in at the bottom, where I got rid of the spindly engines in favour of a more solid one.

Very industrial. Unfortunately, though, in order to have those 3x3x2 faceted slopes attached upside down, it weakens the construction considerably.

I'd never used one of those 2x4x2 inverted windscreens before. Looks nice, if you ask me.

   That's a satellite dish, not a gun.

In hindsight(no pun intended) those engine pods need to give way to something more...substantial.

   Caution: FLAMABLE!

   Frog legs...

Yes, it's clear gas. What else?

Don't ask how he gets out.

Without this man, your ships wouldn't go.

As seen here, I reworked the engine area. Nothing else on the model was modified.

Getting those arches to line up perfectly was a royal pain. And, at last, I used those roborider wheels. I'd been meaning to use them as engines for a long time, so I finally hauled them out.

Wow, finally got mine up. Yours is a lot better though. Every time I look at it I see something new that I missed before.

I really like this ship alot. I had been experimenting with designs of my own using the XPod 'bubbles' but fell short when trying to make it into something worth looking at. Thanks to your creation I was inspired to use the methods you did to create a full ship. It is different from yours in that it has four pods, a flatbed thing above the cab, and it isn't Octan, but rather a simple red and black color scheme. I haven't posted though, because I was afraid of being accused of stealing your ideas. Yes, I suppose I did steal them, but I like to think of it as inspired by your design. That's what this site is for right? To share and inspire? Anyway, excelent job, and please let me know if I should post my MOC, I would be happy to send you pics personally before posting an make sure to credit you if I do. Thanks!

Good improvement on an already great ship.

Very good moc, but i think that, you could have used a better engine design. But overall a very good model!
