About this creation
There's a contest over at DVICE where they ask you to design a steampunk Cylon from Battlestar: Galactica. Not having any 3D rendering or model building skills I decided to try one out with LEGO. This is the result. I'm going to get some better lightbox pictures later.



This was my first non-Star Wars MOC but admittedly it's still science fiction. This model is really fragile but I tried to keep it as light as possible. The revisioned BS:G Cylons are actually quite thin. Not having to have people wear suits, the CGI they can use allows them to build whatever kind of robot they want.
