Solus nearly escapes with the Trident, but then finds himself in a showdown with the Whitetron and Blacktron captains.
About this creation
In a forest by the Pyramid of Hellinikon in Greece, a showdown is taking place between Solus (the lone pilot), the Blacktron Captain, and the Whitetron Captain.
This is a part of the Whitetron storyline. Join our group if you wish to contribute! Thanks to Ben Lidvall for the Blacktron captain character, and to Ewen Albright for helping with this story.

Here is a summary of the story leading up to this event:
Solus has obtained the Trident from the ancient pyramid, the final piece of the Unitron Core. His motive is to keep any one group from having too much power. M:Tron and Blacktron want the core because it is neccessary to finding the lost planet of gold. Space Police and Whitetron want the core to keep M:Tron and Blacktron from becoming too powerful to stop (though some in the Whitetron and Space Police leadership are starting to consider the benifits of obtaining that much gold). Unitron wants the Core because it is theirs to begin with. Unitron is the group that sealed all the pieces of the core in the first place. Unitron is a much older group than the rest, and has seen the evil the golden planet has caused in the galaxy throughout time.
Now here is the story from this MOC forward (very general, and will be explored further in future MOCs):
Once the golden planet is finally found by M:Tron, Blacktron wants their share of the gold, but M:Tron turns on them and defeats their entire fleet. The golden planet is much more than just a planet with a lot of gold in it. It also holds ancient gold-based technological relics from a lost alien civilization that grew too powerful for it's own good, and destroyed itself. M:Tron creates a new fleet of ships using this technology, and sets out to conquer the galaxy, one sector at a time.
During a fierce battle with an overwhelmed Whitetron, Alpha Centauri system falls to M:Tron. But just as this happens, Blacktron creates a temporary truce with Space Police, and teams up with them and Whitetron and Unitron to counter the unstoppable M:Tron force.
M:Tron now gathers closer and closer to the Earth system, and Earth is preparing for a final battle. The Earth forces are led by the lone pilot Solus, recovered fully from his showdown at the Pyramid of Hellinikon.
I don't yet know how the final battle should play out, but it should be epic :)

"There are already 8 MOCs and we're waiting for yours!" Just thought I'd point out that that isn't entirely accurate.
Hehe, yea I should probably change that to "over 25" now. Thanks for catching that :) |

Whatever Rowland prefers. I'm hungry.
(PS - Please tell me. I'm confused enough as it is, and I'm getting pictures tommorow. I need to know what will happen with the plot.) |

Woah, chill out, Ben, I was planning to have her revived in my next comic. If you don't like that, then perhaps Rowland can take this down. |

Excellent work!!! Thanks for using my character! I hope to see more from you later!!! FYI: Can you please keep my characters alive?
Hi Ben, thanks for the review! I actually delayed releasing this for a few days, because I wanted to ask you about that very issue (if I Tora could be assassinated), but since you weren't on for some days, I went ahead and submitted the MOC.
It's your character and I want to do everything I can to respect it! If you want, I could remove this MOC or rename the character. We could also have her revived later in the story if you want. At any rate, we can continue talking about it in the "Blacktron Commanders" topic you made in the Whitetron group (where you'll also find I made that ship with the special Blacktron graphics for you) :) |

Could you post a pic of the underside so that I can *try* to replicate the trident? |

There's some good comics here, but I think yours is the best I've seen in the "Classic space" spirit. I'm sad for the sexy Blacktron babe, however. Great quality, for the story and pics. I'm looking forward for the next chapters !
Thanks! You are always welcome to contribute too :) |

Hmm... Come to think of it, the first line sounds like he just stepped out of a portal from Gehenna or Hades or whatever.
Edit: You do know the planet itself is electrically supercharged, right? |

Dunno. I've never been there. You could always look up Greek flora, but this is the future, so it might not matter. I'm more concerned about whether there are forests near the Plain of Argolid.
Looking at google maps for "Plain of Argolid" there do seem to be little pockets of forest relatively nearby. Good call though! |

Hmm... Is that an actual Greek forest?
You mean in the main picture? No, but I think their forests don't look too different from that. If they do I can change it :) |

Woah, way to totally confuse everything. I'm not sure I can replicate that piece of the core- I even have those darts, but can't find them. A lot of loose helmets in this MOC, but I gotta say, that M:Tron leader is totally sweet. I do have that helmet, and thought it looked like a M:Tron commander's helmet myself. Did that trident shoot ice?
I can be guilty of making things complicated :) I do want to get everything figured out one day and written in logical order. See my forum post for the issue between your new story and mine. I'm glad you like Magus :) I just wanted to show the trident shooting some sort of energy, though it can be anything the story calls for. |
