The Battle of Mygeeto

The Battle of Mygeeto is my debut moc of rejoining mocpages. Taking place in the late Clone Wars, Ki-Adi-Mundi and Commander Bacarra lead Galactic Marines across the battle torn bridge-world of Mygeeto against Separatist forces.
About this creation
Overview of the general layout of the war-torn bridge.

Shot of a gaping hole in the bridge created by a blast or explosion during the battle. I really had fun greebling this area and thought I did a fairly good job at it.

An engine or piece of equipment from a vehicle or droid has exploded and driven itself into the surface of the bridge.

Back shot of the piece on fire. I really stressed it scraping the bridge and leaving jagged marks behind it while driving up parts of the bridge to the side and infront of it. This was one of my favorite outcome details of the moc.

An E-web Blaster lays in ruins next to the destroyed railing of the bridge while the rubble burns in the background. Notice the different use of fire pieces.

Another hole has been blasted on the side of the bridge and it has destroyed one of the street lights.

Side shot of the moc.

Side shot of the moc with the figs in place.

Jedi General Ki-Adi-Mundi encourages the troops down the battlefield by shouting, "Come on!"

A battle droid takes a hit.

Commander Bacarra fearlessly leads his troops, the Galactic Marines, down the battlefield.

Troops hustle past the burning rubble.

Watch your step over that munitions wire!

A Super Battle Droid fires off a shot as a B1 Battle Droid takes a hit to the upper torso.

This blasting technique was first used by Tekka Croe and is very creative. It adds more depth and realism to the moc.

A different angle of the advancing troops.

Back shot of the moc. The street lights aren't fixed perfectly but they're attached pretty sturdy. This is just a first attempt at Mygeeto for me, I've waited about four years since I first saw Philip Morgan's moc here to give it a shot. I plan for a much larger and detailed version in the summer.

The battle rages on.

Clone Commander Bacarra: yeah I know he's not perfect, but I'm a purist and this is the best I could come up with. I didn't want to use a regular white helmet with him, so I threw in a Recon Troopers instead. I'm pretty hopeful that TLC will come out with a mold of him in two years or so ;)

Jedi General Ki-Adi-Mundi: I was pondering using a yellow version of him but ultimately decided against it to keep with the realism of flesh figures. Again this figure is not modded in anyway because I am a purist. This plume-hair idea was first used by Philip Morgan and is ingenious. Check the last paragraph in this moc for a link to his page.

Clone Galactic Marine: A purist marine was a tough task to tackle but I think I did a pretty darn good job.

Again this moc is my debut back to mocpages. Some of you might remember me before as Commander Calamitous. I have been on The Clone Army Builders Guild for some time so feel free to check it out! Also I'll try uploading some of my older mocs. I thought it'd be appropriate to have my first moc back kinda dedicated to Philip Morgan because it was his Mygeeto moc that originally brought me to mocpages and helped me get more into lego building. Please check out his moc here: Mygeeto: Galactic Marine

Darn, I made a Mygeeto diorama very very similar to this one. I recently joined moc pages and was going to put mine up as my first one but it is way too similar and would look like copying. Even the mygeeto troopers i made are almost identical. Great job though, incredible detail especially with the damage holes.

The only thing that I can say is AWESOME! Very good vig to show off your custom minifigs! I really like your galactic marine (I'm working on my own actually) and your Ki-Adi Mundi is great. But, the thing i like best is the grebbling in the blown up hole of the bridge. Very BF2 accurate..... Do you play the game?

Quoting Philip Morgan Great detail on the scenery. I like the detail in the hole in the floor. I am proud to have been an inspiration to such a great creation.
Phillip, I'm glad you finally got a chance to check it out ;) I really do owe it to you for bringing me out of my dark ages, and back into Lego Star Wars years ago. Looking forward as always to see what you've got in store next.
