About this creation

well, here it is, my completed Lamborghini Murcielago. 1/10 scale, AWD, 5 speed gearbox, full suspension and steering. the engine bay and doors also open as well. I took a while to make it, but it was worth it. the car looks awesome. I also have a picture of the AWD gearbox and a diagram of how it works

Quoting Randy Smith Very Nice Tyler. Have you seen Crowkiller's new Murcielago? I know you said that his cars were not proportioned correctly, but do you think that he finally got one right with this new model? Also do you save your completed models or do you tear them apart and start on something new?
his new Murcielago looks to be perfectly proportioned and is an awesome MOC. some of his older ones are just a bit too wide, they are however still amazing MOCs. Im just a perfectionist when It comes to proportioning my cars, if its off by a hair it bugs me.

Thanks! I started work on a new super car. I only have the chassis done, but cant decide if I want to build a koenigsegg CCX or a ford GT out of it

Less is more, and you proved it. There are not more plane components necessary to suggest a smooth surface. This is obvious a Lego Technic project scale model you built. I like this Lambo!

Quoting randy romero hey tyler, love your lamborghini. i've always wanted to build a car using the technic parts on the LDD, but i wouldn't know where to start. any advice? thanks!!
I have tried using LDD for technic, but I just find it easier to use real parts. But if you insist on LDD, then start with something small and work from there. also start designing components like suspension and steering and what not to get an idea of how they work. (which is one reason real parts are better, you can test your design for functionality).

KICK ASS!!! Man this is amazing ! Personally, I prefer to have the outisde of my models built with 'normal' lego as I find technic leaves gaps everywhere ; but wow ... this is purely amazing ! the shape of ... well every bit is spot-on ! Now, you're clever building 1/10 scale - it's big, looks cool, and gives plenty of room to add loads of functionalties (as you have done). I, on the other hand, am just a crazy nutter cuz I'm building my lambo in 1/3 scale... This si definately one of the best lego cars I've seen so far , keep up the good work ! Dan

The shape from the front pillars towards the back is definetly Murcielago. I see you used some of the newer stud less Technic to work out the suspension in the back. AWD too, Sweet!

Quoting joe mcjoeson Dude, where's my hood? ;) Other than that, it's fantastic.
the hood gnomes stole it in the middle of the night. (actually, the panels didn't look right, and part of the steering was in the way).

The best Technic Lambo ever. Still I can see some place for improvement. I would add some panel fairings to the front and sides. One purchase at BrickLink and it would be perfect. ;)

Fantastic. The headlights make it recognizable instantly. The doors also help...great job. I only have 2 gears altogether, so I pretty much ignore that stuff, but the bodywork is sweet. -matthew- P.S I added you to my Favorite Builders List.

I'm not really into Technics (or maybe because i'm not so good with it!) but this one rocks! The shape is very good. Very impressive gearbox and drive-train. And that's the good thing with Technics you got a great view on it!

Nicely done, a very interesting design, I'm building on a car but I don't have the parts to make a gear box, anyway, my plan is to motorize it, and make it an RC car

Pure Technic!!! Sorta reminds of the ol' Daytona VX4 super car set that came out back in 1994... of course, this Lambo is light years ahead in each and every aspect. I marvelled at it for a few minutes and now I'm absolutely sure - you're a Technic master mate. Keep building!!!

Quoting Evan Drinkwater hey mate, awesome creation you got there, was wondering if you could help me out with regards to all the gearing, steering and differentials and chassis design etc, i'm trying to build a holden commodore ute, and have hit a total roadblock, i haven't built anything large scale out of technic lately, i have the new excavator and ferrari dissambled in pieces, the models i will use to build my MOC, just a bit unsure of how to build with all these new parts etc. email is evan_188@hotmail.com be great if u could help, keep up the good work by the way!!!
Sure. one thing I did when I first started building was to look at what the lego company built and modify it for my purpose. also, brick shelf has all kinds of stuff on it, suspensions, gear boxes and so on. another thing to do is just look at an actual car, that's where I get some designs too.
