Large Scale Enzo Ferrari . This is a large scale (26 studs wide) model of the Enzo Ferrari. This has been one of my favorite cars since it designed by Ferrari in 2002, named for the company's founder. The design is heavily based on formula one technology, including an F1 style sequential shift transmission and a lightweight carbon fiber body. It is a mid-engine Berlinetta sports car with a 12 cylinder, 651 hp engine. I had been considering building a large scale model of this car for quite a while, so I was glad to finally find the time (and the red pieces!) to build this car. Hope you like it! . here are some shots of the back; I didnt have enough room to make the rear diffuser the way I wanted to, but I think it turned out fine. look closely, notice the engine through the rear grill and see the the small gear through the center of the rear diffuser. this gear is connected to the working differential gear system inside, and turns when the car moves Next some shots of the front. It took a while to figure out the right proportions for the front air intakes, and to find a way to fit the diagonal into place. I ended up using small black rods to hold them in place with small hinge elements some close up shots large side air intakes cool the engine I only used this for the one shot, but this is what the brake pads would look like close up this model has functional front wheel steering controlled by the steering wheel Right turn left turn the back hatch opens, revealing the engine the Enzo Ferrari has a huge, 651 horsepower, 6.0 L, V12 Engine. It can take the Enzo to a top speed of about 227 mph (365 kph) notice the dashboard and cooling vents through the engine wall window the Enzo has butterfly style doors everything opens up! See inside the front hood. The small gear is actually connected to the steering mechanism and serves as a secondary steering controller in addition to the steering wheel. This isn't actually on the real car, but I wanted to include it next some interior shots the glove compartment opens bright red bucket style seats Main pieces removed to reveal the interior. finally, some overhead shots
