T.L.A. Hr-27 . Because I wanted to. . After the success of the T.L.A. (Three Letter Acronym)'s Hr-35 design, the T.L.A.'s engineers turned their attention toward creating a combat-worthy dropship for T.L.A. ground troops. The Hr-27, capable of carrying up to 5 troops in a detachable drop pod, is the culmination of that effort. After taking these shots I am going to take this apart and rebuild the Hr-35, I liked that ship better. Top. Front. The front end was taken more or less completely from the Hr-35 design. Side. The engines were originally supposed to rotate, but they can't because of all the detail I built up around them. The Hr-27 retains the Hr-35's retractable landing gear, although the rear wheels' stowed position is different now. Rear view, showing the drop pod door and the drop pod's attached single shot grenade launcher, which is usually loaded with a smoke grenade to provide visual cover when the troops exit the pod. Drop pod on the ground, detached. No parachute failures since 2192! A side view of the vehicle minus the drop pod. The Hr-27 is not very sturdy (especially compared with the 35, which was). The connection between the drop pod holder and the cockpit section is the most vulnerable point in the structure.
