Fighter/Recon design -- FR-VI - Peregrine . Fighter/Recon design - FR-VI - Peregrine -- The original design was loosely based on the Douglas Skylancer. Okay, slight change of plans... (as is often the case) this design has progressed into something much, much closer to the Vought F7U - Cutlass. The original idea was for a fleet based intercepter - but with so many cool weapon options it looked like this was going to be a strike fighter like the Firebrand. Thankfully the desire for a smaller strike craft was forming - see the Shrike. . Wings folded and lowered... Views in 'flight' - note the vertical fins. Armament: 1x 27 mm 4-barrel cannon w/600 rounds 4x Advanced Air Combat missiles in retractable cells Additionally: 4x Advanced Air Combat missiles under the wings 4x BVR AAC missiles under the wings 1x recon pack under the centerline I just love this design. It's screams speed. It's much smaller than the previous designs posted... as other pictures will show. Let me know what you think!
